Hey, you're the current theme on scryfall.com. They periodically switch to a different seven cards on the top page, following some pattern. Last time they were trolling with Nexus of Fate and all buy-a-box promos, and now it's all Jason Felix cards. : D

It's a pitty/shame that the best ilustration for me in the entire mtg world isnt yours but GOD you draw-paint-etcetc so freaking good
Maybe ill do some works with my PS with some of your ilustrations, only if you let me ^^

Kind words, means much to me. MTG is a strange world because it has 'needs' as with any business. 'Needs' is players and fans. Fans buy product and keeps the company alive.
From what I have seen, MTG players are passionate and they all have various artists they love. But seems that the 'more' popular an artist is (for example Jason Chan), the more work those artists get in return including powerful cards. Makes sense.
So I have to understand that I have no control of when I get work, what type of card I get, or if I get work at all. Its completely decided upon you... the fans, the people whom appreciate art that allows people like me to continue to work professionally. So thank you for enjoying my work! As long as you care, then I will always have a voice to share with you and others.

I'm still trying to get the hang of photoshop, but so far it just seems WAAAY over my head.

Lets see... photoshop, painter, artrage, modo, 3d studio max, maya, sketch-up, sculptris, zbrush, keyshot, camtasia, etc. That is what I remember off hand, there is many more.

how the did you figure out how to use them?
I can't even find any good tutorials (for photoshop)
all of the tutorials i found were either photo manipulation or just plain unhelpful. and I've tried figuring it out on my own...
but I'm totally lost

I'm self taught... so I simply tackled both traditional and digital art to using any tools that I could find. The first two years using Photoshop, I produce nothing but crap. Same with each program that I have tried and traditional media too! But I noticed that as I struggled, I started to understand the basic way to handle the mediums. How the program worked, how the brush works, now the paint layers on, and then did further research online OR in the library.
Its a simple process, it takes time and patience. There is no other way around it.

There are tons of resources, but you have to seek out what 'you' want to learn. If you know what you want, Then the internet will provide. Seek, explore, research... its all part of the learning & desire to improve. To provide you with simple "Go here....", I believe you will not fully appreciate OR take in the materials.
When you seek the materials on your won, you will discover something helpful and will more likely to learn for it.
Online. Its all there for you to view, download, read, and even purchase if the information is exactly what YOU want.
