Sorry for getting back to you after so long a time. Maybe an update for 3.22. Im working on creating a theme for an OS at the moment and have been helping out with a web-MPD app. So my time has been pretty well occupied. Plus, I have gotten burned out on some of the older themes I have made so many versions of. But again, we will see what happens for 3.22.

thanks for your great work on delorean 3.8. do you plan to release the next version? it would be nice, i got used to see your theme in updates and enjoy the changes. i'd like to suggest you could make the theme more consistent - i mean the toolbars are in two styles - e.g. in nautilus and thunar. i prefer nautilus style. i think you should drop the glass elements (toolbar&toolbar buttons, taskbar) (leave them only in tabs). btw. active tab in gedit is dark blue, shouldnt it be black like in other apps? the last thing is color of selection on lists. in previous version of your theme it was lighter, more blue and i think it was better. of course you dont have to agree with my suggestions. im just saying because i want your theme to be the best theme ever. it has the chance, but currently its the second one, after the meditterranean dark theme, because its less consistent. btw. i've just made an account to contact you. i should have done it earlier because im also a designer, but of 3d graphics. ps.2. the most amazing thing in your theme is right-click menu and the selection - i love this!

After switching to crunchbang (debian) from xubuntu, your dorian-theme gtk2 theme did not work properly. Could you please add a single command to install your theme requirements (like apt-get blah,blah,and blah)? It's tough to try finding your requirement package names. Thanks!

dorian-theme is, in my opinion, the best dark linux theme currently available. Could you make an openbox theme for the dorian-retro theme? I don't enjoy using metacity for window borders.

Thank you for your kind words. I just finished the openbox themes for DeLorean-Dark-3.8, so yeah I can give it a try and see what I can come up with for Dorian. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to replicate the look of the dorian-retro theme in openbox. But, again I will see what I can come up with in the next few days.

I would suggest reusing some elements of your delorean-dark openbox theme to try to make the dorian-retro theme(which will look very little like your metacity theme). Try to make window borders blend in with your gtk theme, like in Delorean-dark. Thanks!

A suggestion from me to try to vaguely replicate the look of the dorian-retro theme would be to reuse some of your delorean-dark openbox theme and use a darker blue color for the window buttons and menu entries. Try keeping consistent with the dorian-retro gradient. Thanks!

Hey, Thank you. I have considered elementary os, I looked into pantheon and granite. Finding the time is at the core of my issue. If I am able I will add support for elementary into the DeLorean-Dark-Themes-3.8 some time in the future.

elementary is stuck in gtk 3.4 just so you know. Also i've tried to use images as backgrounds to the toolbar sidebar etc to add textures and it is a mess, how do you do it so well? do you make use of a different engine?

Really, I did not know that. gtk3.4 is horrible to work with. I wouldn't be able to theme anything for elementary then. I use pixmap-engine(gtk2) and adwaita-engine(gtk3); those are the 2 for the image files. I'd suggest opening my theme files and replacing my background image;etc, with the image you would like and manipulate it from there. I'm sure you will figure it out pretty quick. Cheers!

It means a lot to me too, since I kinda feel the Xfce community is being left behind. Not many themers focus on Xfce, which in fact is an extremely useful, intuitive, polished desktop suitable for everything.
With the arrival of Gnome 3 many themers started to focus on KDE for example. I find it difficult to find themes designed specifically for Xfce and Xfce-look.org is pretty much outdated, or lacks quality themes, hence your work is much appreciated.

Finally a dark theme that looks good and works.
Well most of the time....
I use evolution as email/calendar and in there the preview the text color ist black. On dark grey....
Not easy to read.
I googled around to find a way to set the colors in the preview pane and found nothing useful.
Any idea how to fix that?
