This is a character that originated from the internet art community before it became mainstream - and it's existed for so long and still has remained in obscurity after nearly 2 decades. It's been around since people had seizure-inducing personal websites, and it's the earliest example of the monstergirl genre i've ever found - Monster Girl Encyclopedia didn't even exist back then, and even Pukao started in 2004...Β
What i'm trying to say is that your character is historical.

I think there were a few on the go when I made Gillian. Particularly in Keiro Tsubana's Elfwood gallery.. plus Gillian (and Ralma's) design were heavily inspired by Capcom's Breath of Fire 2 from 1993.
So I can't precisely say Gillian was 'early' as far as internet snake ladies are concerned. Still, as far as things I got at the end of a bout of depression in 1999, she's one of the better ones. On the plus side, I guess now that you mention it, I guess Gillian's 18th anniversary is coming up.. Nice.

I actually pay for each of these. I'm a writer/programmer by trade, not an artist. Β So I don't do commissions I'm afraid. Still, just link through one of my works to the artist who is responsible, if you find their art style appealing. I'm sure they'd appreciate the business.
