Don't give up. Believe me, for many, that feeling never goes away. I see stuff daily that makes me want to give it up! The trick, I think, is to think of you as singular, not comparative to anyone else. Don't measure yourself by others, just try to get better at what you do yourself. It's hard, but if you really want to be an artist, you will and have to keep at it, all the time!

Here's a tip for you - if you have access to a scanner, and you scan them in instead of photographing them, it makes them look MUCH COOLER. I think it's because they're lit from behind. It makes such a difference that if I have a painting I scan it in 8 stages and piece it together in Photoshop and it STILL looks better than a photo! If I had professional lighting a photo might be better but I just have sunlight and an SLR non-digital camera.

BTW this is useless info if you can't get a scanner!
