Candlelight is wonderfully challenging to work with. Many photographers lose patience with it, because the trouble you need to take with long exposures, poses where the model won't move during the shot, etc. are pretty complex. However, it's very rewarding when you get it right!

Hey, you earned it. Beautiful pictures! Would you consider making a large (full-size) download available for printing, or make prints available through the DV shop? Those pictures deserve framing!

There is a problems because of high resolutions: My camera has in my opinion a good quality, but the resolution is too low for prints! It would be too small

Thanks so much for the on The Megapixel Myth, and I must say great choice of camera too. I would have gotten one if i had the money but I was able to get a well kept used D50 from a friend for too cheap to pass up.

Lol anyway, Thanks for the fav and great cam too!

Thank you very much for converting that article into a tutorial. I teach aspiring photographers, and it's hard to get across to them that the size of the sensor is what counts, rather than its megapixel rating.

I'm looking very hard at getting one of the new Pentax 645's in digital format when it's finally released (hopefully in 2007 sometime). That'll be at least an 18-megapixel sensor, but most of all it'll be a LARGE sensor, with far less noise problems than if they try to cram all those megapixels into a small-format sensor. Now, that's something to look forward to!

no problem, I went through the hell of trying to learn what went into a 'good' camera all on my own, and it's been an interesting ride. I've actually been looking at the differences between on and off brand lenses, i.e. how a Tamron zoom lens will perform compared to a Nikkor. Howeverer I just need to get an audience and enough cash to rent lenses.

Wow, the 645, i can't wait till it actually goes into producition *crosses fingers* . It looks like one heck of a camera, the large format sensor and its advantages should give a big impetus to the other big boys (Nikon, Canon, Olympus) to get up and make similar devices. Hopefully in a couple years i'll be able to afford that sort of camera. I'd love to have that for shooting landscapes, when I go on road trips.
