Ah, hello there. I hope that all is going well with you. Though I've not been that conversant as of late, I'm still around, and wishing you only the best.
Take care.

Not yet. He's proving to be a daunting draw. But I'm confident he'll turn out okay. It's just such a different style than I'm used to.
You're not a nag. I'm just really slow.

Okay, no problem. In all honesty I was just curious. I also apologize for my lack giving your awesome artwork comments. I'll catch up one day, but won't overflow your inbox too much.

No worries, no need to apologize on your part. I apologize for always being so slow, but unfortunately I think it's just the way I am. Not that that makes it any less aggravating to deal with.

Thanks! And though much time has passed, some things don't change: I am getting the complete PPG DVD set for Christmas. XD
I hope all is well with you, too. If I were on Facebook we'd definitely be friends, but I dropped off of it years ago.
Keep in touch!

It's been so looooong. Gyah, I love real life, but it can also be a nuisance.
How was your 4th O' July?
And I'm still determined to draw you something!

Waahh, life is crazy! I've kept waiting for things to calm down so I could respond with something relaxing to this comment, but alas!
Nathaniel and I just moved and now we are moving AGAIN due to major dissatisfactions with our current apartment complex. It has been madness trying to find a new place that had availability within 30 days. (30 days is the window amount of time after move-in that we can bail on our lease without penalty if we're unhappy.)
SooOoOoOoO. I was hoping by now I'd be making some art, but it is not to be. I must wait until our next move, and then maybe we can start settling in and making our home "home."
The good news is that Nathaniel and I have proved that we are going to last a million billion years from the way we've handled this incredibly stressful and stupid situation. Hooray for being a happy couple!
So how are things with you? Hopefully less chaotic!

Your new place didn't work out? Well that's a big stinker! House hunting--buying or renting--can be such a headache. I'll cross my fingers and hope you find a new home within the allotted time. You're right, if you guys can handle this whole ordeal, then the both of you are meant to be!
Every arteest's nightmare: the inability to draw when and where desired. At least there are napkins for backup, and in desperate cases, body limbs. XD
My days have been fairly quiet (aka boring, ha). I'm starting to feel like my old self, artistic wise. For quite a while I've felt uninspired, the main cause being burnt out from college. Other than that, not much else has really been going on. Hopefully you'll be able to have some quiet days of your own soon, after this whole ordeal!

Just responding to let you know that I did get your e-mail and I've been wanting to respond to it ever since. Life is madness for Nathaniel and myself right now -- we just moved into a new apartment and now we're making an emergency move OUT of it to a new complex -- and every spare minute has been filled up with nonsense. When things settle down I hope that we'll start up a good correspondence. In the meantime, I'm sorry for being a lousy friend.

Sorry for the late reply!
So much has been going on since we last wrote that I'm not sure where to begin, but suffice it to say that Nathaniel and I are still happy and getting along in the world as best we can.
I hope your life has been a GOOD soap opera. ^__^

Hey you! How are things? I keep really wanting to draw you a Nights picture just to say "hi! we r still friendz yay!1", but I've been really roadblocked in the drawing department lately. Slim pickins in my mind, let me tell you.
What have you been busy with?

kristi-chan In reply to projectautumn [2009-04-07 01:08:11 +0000 UTC]
Ah yes, the infamous Block-of-Doom! Don't worry about it. I understand that all too well, it's the same on my end too. I can't decide what to draw and when I do, I don't know how to go about it...that and I've been lazy, heheh. The video games, they call to me.
Now that you mention it, though, I believe it's high time I drew something for you...hmm...
Anyways, I'm *finally* finishing up my last semester for my certificate. Thank goodness. I am beginning to feel a little burnt out with college, so I'm looking forward to a class-free summer.
What's up on your end?

projectautumn In reply to kristi-chan [2009-04-09 02:45:41 +0000 UTC]
I laughed a lot at the line "The video games, they call to me." XD
It really is tough, though. I'm excited for when Nathaniel and I move into a bigger apartment, one with TWO bedrooms, so the extra room can be the craft/peaceful retreat room. I really yearn for an out-of-the-way place to curl up with a book. Not that I don't like being around Nathaniel, but when you can't go anywhere that isn't a bedroom or around a television, sometimes I just... need to de-stress. Wind down and have time in my own head, quietly, for my own thoughts.
Congratulations! You know, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I can't remember what your certificate was in. But that's awesome! Enjoy the summer off.
That's really it on this end. Reading like a fiend, and it's great! Wedding coming up in August, and a little before that a move to a more inexpensive apartment complex with greenery around it and an extra room. Funtimes ahoy!
And don't worry about drawing anything for me. If you're inspired, go ahead, and I'll love it. If not, don't push yourself. Don't lock yourself in to the Block of Doom on my behalf!

So long as I don't hear "Kristi, come play with us" then I don't think my addiction is too bad XD
I agree. When you need a place for creative though processing, or to read quietly, you really need somewhere that's "separated" from the rest of the house. I use my room, but I can't do anything on my easel because I have no room. I'm limited to sketchbooks. Anywhere else in the house is high in traffic, and I'm ADD enough WITHOUT distractions.
I will try to appease the Apartment Gods into finding you a nice sized place when the time comes. *Incense and a jig* For a place to stash all your books (not stolen from the library, of COURSE)and maybe it will have room for chickens
And congratulations on the wedding! I wish you and your fiance the best. Not just on your wedding day, but all the days before and after.

Thank you for the well wishes and tribal dances!
And you have an easel? That is pretty awesome. I wish I were so high-class. And I know what you mean about distractions. I get really cranky really quickly if I don't have time to just retreat into my own head. If there is someone on the television constantly yammering at me it drives me batty. Music is okay, though, mostly because I will only listen to music I know inside-and-out while I'm working, and so my brain doesn't get distracted by it. It knows exactly what's coming and doesn't need to pay attention to feel good.

You're welcome.
I got lucky on the easel. An art store was going out of business so everything was super cheap.
I am constantly listening to music. If I'm sleeping or trying to concentrate on homework, I too will play something I don't need to concentrate on in the background. Usually during the night I will either play soft music or an audio cd.

dude what happened we were supposed to talk more
the good news is I'm going to a university to achieve my BA degree and would love to do something in the film industry. ANYTHING as long as I can get a career out of it and that it's realistic. That's about the extent of how I'm doing, to sum it all up in few words: tired and busy.
the bad news is I'm extra extra lonely because all my friends have left and are either mad at me or drifted away. Did you ever see or read Secret Life of Bees? Oh how I feel like Lily. Feeling incapable to love *sigh*
but i try to keep busy not to think about it all that much...

I'm sorry. I have a busy life and I don't socialize online much anymore. But I am always happy to hear from you.
I'm sorry you're lonely. I think a lot of us are going through that now that we're not in a school setting and are working fulltime jobs. I'm also planning and preparing for my wedding this autumn on top of everything else! Aspects of all of this are definitely fun, but darned if I don't feel strange going to bed at 9:00 nearly every night because the daily routine tires me out so much.
I haven't seen the movie or read the book so I don't get the reference unfortunately, but I hope you perk up soon.
