How do you make your maps? And, is there a way I can do itΒ And, make it multi-floored?

Hey Firebolt457, I use lots of individual image tiles (I've collected quite a few) and I piece them together on a grid I've created using Adobe Fireworks.
Not sure what you mean by multi-floored, but you can create as many levels as you want onto one image or three separate images as I've done.
Hope that helps?

I see... I'm trying to make a building(small castle/keep or manor/mansion) for a part in a D&D campaign... I just don't know what I want exactly...
And, Firebolt or Fire is fine.

Fire, do you have any plans you've already drawn up yourself?Β Sketches even would be enough to work off.
And how much time do you have before your next game/campaign?

In truth, I don't know when... And, no sketches. Not yet... Though, I'm thinking of just buying graph paper/bourd from Walmart and just drawing on it... Just can't decide... Mansion or keep...

A really good idea I stumbled upon is using the blocks from that Jenga game (you know the ones where you pick blocks from a tower?); they make awesome walls for dungeons.
I've got this large grid map and I just layout my dungeon's using those blocks.

Thank you, I do enjoy making D&D maps
Even made my own map tileset that you can print out on A4, cut off the excess and laminate the squares for instant dungeons; used it in a few campaings of mine I'd run.

You're welcome, I loved the colouring of your desert flame. That and I'm kinda partial to red-heads
It really was a lovely image though, I also liked your 'after you' pic you've more recently uploaded.

You're welcome, I stumbled accross your art while browsing DA (a habbit I have) and really enjoyed your style. I see pictures not so much as static art, but the story behind them. Immediatly I saw yours as being something fun
I may give it a shot and write something, assuming you don't have any problems with that?

corrvo In reply to r3v3r53d [2010-12-15 21:18:34 +0000 UTC]
^^ that's always a fun when you stumble on something! I've done it many times, for sure
Anyway, I'm really gratified to hear that you see more than just the static pictures! As for the stories, I've got my own going where they all fit together in some way, so they are kind of set in a story in that sense.
However, I don't have a problem with you taking a stab writing what you think would be cool, you know, as long as the whole credit thing is given if you do end up using my characters in some way.
Note me with what you come up with! I'd love to see it (or read it, that is).
