At first, I thought they changed the voice actor for the little boy, making him sound much younger than needed. I re-watched the beginning and the end scene and much to my disappointment, the boy's voice sounded much too young.

the voice did seem a bit too young and the overall character felt under developed, but it wasnt like they had a ton of money and time to make this, plus the monkey didnt seem all that necessary since the head monk obviously knew the monkey.
