That is true, it really has been a while. I have been less active online in general, so that plays a part in it as well
I'm doing fine though, summer isn't too hot or too rainy so we can bbq a lot and go swimming and do stuff like that.
And our neighbours cat has gotten some kittens last weekend and they are incredibly adorable :3
And the world cup is going really well so far, we won the first game (against what is probably the strongest opponent in the group stage) 4:0 while spain got blown out already! Even the US has a better chance of advancing right now! 8D

All in all I really can't complain. How are things for you?

according to wikipedia it's called "corpus christi", which is dumb, because in reality german it's called Fronleichnam which is a much nicer name! 8D
Maybe we should crusade the US? Then you'd get this day off as well. I mean say what you want about the catholic church, but they know how to make holidays all over the year, that's for sure.

Well in my (limited) experience american churches are in general way more serious than european ones. But I won't really try to compare them until I've actually seen both. ^_^

My mom went to one once and my friend michelle goes to a lutheran which is just a step above their seriousness
You have to sit tall and pretty and wear proper clothes and be quiet and polite and idk

At my parents church they stand and clap and sing and the preacher walks around and at my youth group we dance and everything its fun 83
