Another wip. Hopefully get round to finishing something soon!Painting practice. first real attempt at digital painting. Done from a tutorial from the Mag ImagineFX. workshop by Derek stenning.

nice look to the face, realistic style but still with a flare of digital - one little niggle would be the shadow over the cheek on the left (as you look at it) surely it should contour more with the cheek line than it does atm (looking again, you havent smmoothed the shading on that entire side so it may just be you hadn't got to it)? also the shading on the left hand side of the internal helmet, with the light coming from the right i don't know if it would be that bright - tho i agree it must grade darker the way you have done it already - its very smooth and works very well

Thank you for taking the time to make a detailed comment. It's really good to get some feedback. About the cheek.. yeah i havent got to it yet >.< the face is far from finished. The only thing im really happy with are the actual eyeballs and maybe the nose. I think i can leave them pretty much the way they are. About the helmet, everythings at the very early stages (obviously) so the colours will be changing and lots of tweaks to come! but you are right, i'm sure it will end up darker than it is now. For my first try at something like this im over the moon with it
