Description
My entry for The Transformation Challenge. Hope you like it.He is one of my rpg characters, Takkin. He is not a shapeshifter, I just made this pic for the contest.
Draft: paper, pencil, then IllustStudio, Photoshop + Wacom Intuos 3
I spent about 10-12 hours from first lines to finish.
Progress stages : sta.sh/01dbwagyvh5x
Hmm... About my inspiration. When I found this challenge, I knew that I must participate. Nomen est omen.
I not like to draw myself, so I chosen an OC... but the shopkeeper? It would have been too easy.
That's why he came. He is a flying-bike racer. ( Yes, he is a SciFi character, not fantasy. ) I never drew him before. To change him to another form, i tried a lot (1-2 minute) sketches with various results. After an hour I had the tiger, the conception of turning back... and a ton of crap sheets.
On the other side...
Oscillators always amazed me. I love to use infinite loops. The actual figures are just forms which can follow it.
PS: I drew a second entry. 12-tf.deviantart.com/art/Naturβ¦

no idea if you'll win but something is definitely wrong somewhere if you don't place well.

This is by far my favorite submission in this contest. I sincerely hope you win, because the concept and the execution of this is both creative and displays a great deal of skill.

Brilliant One. Apart from the clear portraying of the transformation, i felt it also depicts that the transformation is two sides ( from woman to tiger, from tiger to woman.) Thats way pretty awesome. A good kind of thinking which i haven't seen in the recent days.Β

I'm sorry that i didn't pay much focus on the face in the first frame; and the description. At my first glance, i wasn't sure of the characters gender. However i felt it could be a woman because of the flexibility i sensed and the tigers association. Its more because of how i felt, rather than what i saw. Anyways, its awesome.
And, my best wishes for the contest

it almost has a 3-d vibe to it, the ones where they use the line placement to give the visual effect of 3-d. an amazing piece over all!
