In the 3rd edition codex you could play him if your army was under 1500 points, not as a special. I don't know about the new 5th edition rules.

I use him as a regular carnifex, with crushing claws most of the time.

Under the old rules, when you killed Old One Eye you left him on the table. On the nids turns if you rolled a 4-6 he got up again with one wound.

In the 4/5 edition codex their is no old one eye model. You can give a carnifex all the items he had as standard equipment. I've never done the math to see if the points are close.

Old One Eye ís in the new 5th edition codex. As heavy Support, Unique, Monstrous Creature. But way to overpriced. For a little less you can have a Stone-Crusher Carnifex on the table, which are better than yur standard Old One Eye, and the best part is, Stone-Crusher Carnifexes are allowed in broods of 3., Specific Rules are almost all of the carnifex already in Profile, plus regenereation on 6 and reroll it when lands on a 1. And almost always penetrates a enemy Vehicle.

That pretty cool its the same with warhammer fantasy prince Imrik (a dragon prince special character) al his special equipmets are now availeble to nonspecial characters but i alsow would not know about the cost of that charater.
