Too many biplanes ... hmm ... I wonder what kind of planes, and in which numbers, were due to be embarked on the Graf Zeppelin.

Good thing it was never finished or Britain would've been in trouble.

Having an aircraft carier is one thing. Using it effectively is another.

I guess you're right on that.

Anyway, a fully operational aircraft carrier in the Kriegsmarine would have been bad news for the Allies.

It would've been indeed!

Hitler's germany wouldn't have accomplished that.
They would have needed mitteleuropa and mittleafrika for the resources to build a fleet of thoses like the USN or the IJN, obvously suggesting a WW1 victory by the central powers.

It could be just me but the front of the bow looks odd with the combination of a battleship hull beneath a carrier top. Was that a design feature the Germans planned, or did you do that yourself?

I had to use a Bismark hull when I made this model years ago.

It was a rusting hulk in Stettin until the end of the war then the hulk was taken by the Soviets afterwards. It was never completed.

Yes, the hull was almost complete in Stettin. Just google it. Easy to find.
