Full name of Character: Hallie Markos
Reason, meaning or purpose behind the name: She was born during the passing of Halley's Comet.
Nickname: Hal
Reason for nickname: Just a short version of her name, it's cute and quicker to say.
Race: Human, now genetically spliced with Eoraptor Lunensis
Occupation/class: She's a child, no job.
Social class: Upper
Physical Appearance: Very small and skinny for her age.
Age: 12
How old they appear: 12, if not a bit childish for her age. This is in part from her small stature.
Eye Color: A vivid green
Hair color length and style: Initially blonde, it turned a pale pinkish lavender from excessive genetic testing and spilled dyes.
Weight and height:
4' 11'' she weighs 82 pounds
Type of body (build): Extremely small and slight, completely flat chested and no hips.
Skin tone and type: Initially fair, she is now a pastel green, dotted by literally scaly patches, which tend to be itchy.
Shape of face: Round, will be more oval when she ages, if she is to age normally.
Distinguishing marks: Aside from the scales dotting her body and injection marks from genetic testing? No, she has no distinguishing markings at all.
Predominant feature: Her clawed and less than normal finger count, along with a shirt budding tail.
Is s/he healthy? If not, why not? No, in the sense that she's not a normal human, and not necessarily genetically stable.
Charβs favorite color: Violet
Least favorite, why? She doesn't like greys, they're too hospital like and lab cold.
Food: She likes good bread and potatoes, along with turkey but gets an extreme meat craving after her ordeal in the labs.
Literature: She likes old storybooks the best, they have a nostalgic effect. If given the option, though, she'd also read the news.
Expletives: Darn, shoot, drat, and on occasions, damn.
Mode of transport: Feet, but she's good with bikes and skates and such.
Hobbies: Due to her parents' occupations, she is frequently given toy lab kits and such to fool around with.
How do they spend a rainy day? She'd probably build a couch cushion fort. She's quite inventive, like her parents.
Personality: A spunky and daring girl, she wants to follow in the footsteps of her parents and become a scientist. She's not sure what kind, though.
Are they a daredevil or cautious? Hallie's a daredevil, that's for sure.
Do they act the same alone as when with someone? The manner in which she acts it depends on who she's with. If you're more familiar to her, she'll be more casual and relaxed.
Habits: When bored, she'll tap things. She likes making rhythms on anything, even test tubes.
Drinks: She LOVES lemonade. She likes to make it and serve it in the spare test tubes from her kit, ehich one can imagine leads to some problems when one's parents work in a lanoratory.
Greatest Strength: Her mutant genes and craftiness.
Greatest Weakness: Her small stature, she can easily be picked up or pushed aside.
Soft spot: Her plushie dino, Leidy.
Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: Yes, she's extremely close to the plushie, and won't let others take it. She'll even get a bit violent.
Biggest Vulnerability: She's not too strong or physically well to fight back.
Friends: Hallie had been good buds with a girl who liked to go by Rouge, though her real name was Ginevra (which she detested.) Rouge was into the occult and demons, the like. She tried to act creepy and mysterious, but it didn't work. She just looked silly. She always pretended to be part mythical creature, and the two of them had fun playing around the excavation sites while their parents dug things up. They were the best of friends, until Hallie's parents were offered a new job oppurtunity at a laboratory.
Type of childhood: Hallie's parents were paleontologists, who as a cause of a recent groundbreaking excavation, were hired by a mysterious lab company. All they knew was that their services were needed, and it would come at a great benefit for themselves. Hallie had zero idea what was going on at the time, but she was accustomed to being carted off to various dig sites and labs full of objects she wasn't supposed to touch. At a young age, she couldn't grasp what her parents were doing. How could those rocks be animals? Her parents taught her through a stuffed dinosaur named Leidy, and they taught her about dinosaurs through him. Their parents were informed that the agency found a way to form recombinant dna in animals, in order to make them resistant to some of the world's worst diseases. Hallie's parents weren't sure what that meant to them. After all, there's no traces of saurian dna in the fossils they recover. It's all been too long gone for anything to remain buy vestiges and imprints. They were then corrected. In fact, if enough research is done on bone structures and the dinosaur's appearance in life, they can take the descendants of dinosaurs and reverse the evolution process based on that phenotype. (Oh god, phony science I know.). Previous research had been done on animals such as alligators and other animals with antibiotics naturally in their blood, and they feel that dinosaurs, being the huge predominant beasts of the earth for millions of years, must have something useful.
During this conversation, Hallie was waiting outside the conference room, when a scientist told her she couldn't be there. He took her into a lab, and checked her heart rate and such, and gave her a shot.
Later, Hallie's entire family needed to get a physical from the agency to make sure they didn't have any valuable assets to the testing that could alter it: say a certain blood type they needed to test. They told Hallie's parents she was born with some obscure yet deadly disease. (Actually given to her via that shot earilier.) They were the only ones who could fix it with their experimental research. Initially, her parents refused the help, knowing that everything done in the lab was questionable. However, they saw their daugter sicken, and realized it was the only choice they had. The price of the, "cure" was that her parents would be employed there indefinitely. As time passed, she grew more and more like a dinosaur. (See bio's for Gray and Lucienne Clay). She once had two normal children enter the room in which she was caged, and they seemed curious. Friendly, even. However, the girl screamed as another experiment touched her, and the two children were rushed out. The boy dropped a pencil by her cage, and Hallie kept it. She used it like a drumstick, tapping on the bars of the cage. She became wuite skilled, but only had one. She couldn't make much of a rhythm with one pencil. However, when her nails grew into claws, she utilized them as well. She became quite a skilled drummer, and sometimes those kids came back in. However, their demeanors changed completely. They looked cold, but were hiding concern. They taught her morse code. She could use it to communicate through the walls, and the sound would carry through the metal vents. Her parents were not allowed access to the room. Once, her mother tried to sneak in, but was caught by her father and the heads of the lab. Hallie didn't find out what happened to her. (I don't want to give anything away!) Later, the two kids ended up in cages themselves, across and next to her. (I'll add in their bios to make it more coherent.)
Most important child hood event that still effects him/her: It made her curious and independent
Education: Hallie was homeschooled when her parents joined a new research company, which required more traveling. She did, however go to elementary school until the fourth grade.
How they feel about themselves: I'm pretty cool, but that's my own opinion. I want to hear YOU say it.
Optimist or pessimist? Optimist
Introvert or extrovert? Extrovert
Extremely skilled at: Being acrobatic in a street smart way, she can keep a beat and has a fairly good memory.
Extremely unskilled at: Knowing how to stay quiet, as in she can't let something that is unjust go ignored.
Good characteristics: Determined, brave, unique, problem solver
Character flaws:
Mannerisms: "And then..." "You won't believe it!" "Yeah, right!"
One word they would use to describe themselves: Dinogirl
What do they consider their best physical characteristic and why: Her sharp claws. If only she still had all her fingers.
The worst one? Why? Her scaly skin. It can get really itchy and if she doesn't get ointment or moisturiser it can get pretty bad.
What three things would they most like to change about themselves: Her scales, her dislike for adults (in a more, "I wish they'd be less annoying" way.) she wishes she wasn't part of an experiment.
General:
Favorite clothing: Her dino hoodie and ratty old jumper.
Least favorite: Hospital gown
Jewelry: She won't wear it.
Most prized possession, why: Her dino plush, Leidy.
How do they spend the week just before the story starts:
Hey! Who am I? My name? It's Hallie Markos, Hal for short. Yep, there was a comet set to pass earth the day I was born, it was called Halley, so I guess that's how they chose it. I wonder what they'd have called me if I wasn't born then! Hm?
I'm not dating any gross boys, you weirdo! Do I have superpowers? I don't know. Do my Dino genes count? They're not really superpowers, I'm not like Spider-Man or anything. If I were to get in a fight with a wrestler...would I win? I'd sure as heck try! But I hope he's not too tall, then I'd be done for.
5.) Stop being a Mary-sue.
A...huh? I'm not a Mary, I'm Hal.
6.) Riiiight... Have any family members?
Yessir, I've got my Mom and my Pop, they're both really cool scientists!
7.) Oh? How about pets?
I wish I had a pet. A dog would be nice, or even a lizard.
8.) Cool, I guess. Tell me something that you don't like.
I don't like metal furniture. It's so hard and cold, and only boring office people like that stuff anyway.
9.) Something that you do like?
Lemonade is THE thing. I mean, why can't all the water in the world just be lemonade? Everything would be a billion times better.
10.)Ever...killed anyone before?
No! I'd never kill someone! Unless they were real bad, like a criminal or something. Then I'd whoop their butts and I'd be a hero!
11.)What kind of animal are you?
I'm part dinosaur, I can't quite pronounce it. Although I'm mot really I dinosaur, they say my genes were kinda close to one that used to exist Eeyo rhap-tur, loo-ninsus? I dunno.
12.)Do you look up to anyone at all?
Pretty much everyone. There's virtually nobody shorter than- oh, you mean it THAT way? Okay. I admire anyone who's a scientist. At least, I used to.
13.)Do you go to school?
I did, but now I'm homeschooled.
14.)What are you most afraid of?
Doctors and evil scientists.
15.)What colour is your hair?
I'm right in front of you!
16.) Eyes?
Are you blind?
17.) What do you usually wear?
My dino hoodie and jumper. Loose clothes help hide my body.
18.) Anyways, where do you live?
Whoa, man. Personal much?
19.) What class are you? (Low class, middle class, high class)?
Really. I think we're sorta rich but not quite.
20.) How many friends do you have?
Friends? I used to, before we started moving all over the place. Her name was Gine-I mean Rouge, and she was so COOl! Even cooler than me, possibly.
21.) If you could change anything about you, what would you change?
I'd want my other fingers back. These claws are no good for anything but drumming.
22.) What are your thoughts on pie?
Yum. You know, it tastes even better with some lemonade!
23.) Alright. What's your favourite food?
Turkey sandwiches are real good, especially on rye. Put a little mayo in...deelish!
24.) Favourite drink?
LEMONADE TO THE MAX! I wish they had lemonade for the winter, like hot lemonade or something. But I think that'd kinda be gross, huh?
25.) What is your favourite place?
Hiding in a fort with Leidy.
26.) Least favourite?
Cages and horrible doctor stuff. I guess I could pretend the cage is a fort
Name(s): Gray and Lucienne Clay
Age(s): 13
Personalities:The two of them are fraternal twins, who will claim they're as different as can be. Despite this, they actually tend to be jealous of each other's habits, though they'll deny it to the ends of the earth. Lucienne is extremely fashion oriented, whilst Gray likes rummaging through his grandparemt's old things, seeking traditional clothing. Although Lucienne ridicules him for liking old things, she'll sometimes steal little trinkets and such and incorporate them into her outfit. Gray returns the favor by criticizing her for her lack of motivation and no wish to become a scientist like their parents. Little does he know Lucienne, depite her constant procrastination, can actually be smarter than he is. Though young, rather incompetent and oblivious alone, as a pair they can accomplish anything. They balance each other out so well, and they always have each others' backs.
Extras: Gray has a speech problem, similar to cluttering. His words are essentially incoherent and a jumbled
mess, he has to try extremely hard to say one word at a time. Thus, depending on the importance of what he is saying, he may speak extremely slowly or extremely cluttered. To Lucienne's disdain, she often has to translate (though even she doesn't always know what he'a saying.)
History/bio (must be at least a paragraph): The duo was born to scientist parents, who had little time for their children due to their supposed being on the verge of a major scientific breakthrough. In truth, their parents were both a tad mentally unstable, their father more so than their mother. However, they would encourage their children to pursue a career in the sciences, and allow them to wander around their lab headquarters. Their parents were extremely valuable to the project at hand, and sometimes they'd have to stay overnight to work. One day, Gray and Lucienne came across the room in which they stored genetic test subjects. At first they were a tad shocked by the poorly treated and mutated rodents and other mammals. However, as they neared the back of the room, they caught a glimpse of human subjects. Gray neared closer to the cage of one individual, with scales coating her face. He was about to hold her hand when Lucienne screamed; another experiment had grabbed her. An alarm sounded, and their parents rushed in and grabbed them. Gray dropped the pencil he was holding, as he was dragged by the collar out of the room. They were promptly sat down and questioned by their parents. What did they see? They didn't get bitten, did they? Did they make any physical contact? Paranoid and strange as those scientists were, they took blood samples and such. They were then told that the creatures in there, although precious experiments, were less than human, and should be treated as such. They were allowed in the room, (supposedly to increase their interest in scientific pursuits, and to encourage their curiosity) so long as they didn't engage the animals, and ESPECIALLY not the humans. When they next came into the room, they shakily hid their true feelings with a cold mask, yearning to help, but they couldn't. There was disdain, but also sorrow. A week or so later, they found their parents violently arguing. As it turns out, the blood tests revealed their children to be perfect contestants for the procedure they were testing. In fact, they could, along with the scaly girl in the cage, complete their research years in advance. While they knew what this would mean for them in the long run, their mother was initially afraid of sacrificing her children for their life's work. Gray and Lucienne soon found themselves in the same position as the other human subjects, caged and monitored as their parents became invulerable to their pleas. (I don't want to give anything away, but things get better for them!)

Name: Linda Bonifaz
Backstory: Linda was a strange little girl who always had a vivid imagination. She would often dream of being a beautiful dragon that was loved by all. One day, she met a strange man who gave her a bottle with a purple liquid inside who told her that drinking it would make her dream come true. Instead of fully becoming a beautiful dragon, she became a strange, lizard-like girl. Her parents, in fear, booted her out and the man who gave her the potion took her in to raise as his own child.

And here's my second one =3
Number: 7 and 8 (I love these two they're so cute!!! <3)
Names:
Female: Isa (meaning rainbow in Chamoru)
Male: Kashti (meaning rainbow in Hebrew) I wanted to do a name meaning canvas but it didn't work out well T_T
Backstory:
Isa and Kashti first meant when they were babies. Their parents were best friends, and the four would paint together once a week and would bring their children. Over the years the two would play together during these weekly painting sessions, or would watch from afar as their parents would work, critique each other, or work on one big picture together. At the age of five the two started to color things together, whether it be coloring books, the walls, or on big pieces of paper their parents would bring for them. The two were colorful and happy, like their parents. After Kashti's sixth birthday, on their way home from Isa's house after a large paint party, Kashti's car crashed, and his mother died protecting him. His father, no longer inspired to work, said good bye to his friends and took Kashti north to his hometown in Alaska. Isa would then stand alone for a while, only half coloring her pictures, and eventually losing interest all together. Her parents were less inspired, sad that their friends were gone, and soon none of them would do anything artistic. Their home became colorless and unhappy, and they would sit quietly and do nothing. As Isa hit high school, Kashti hated his new home. It was all white, with no colors and no life. His father did nothing, no matter how much his grandmother pestered him about it. His grandfather would make him chop wood, pick things up from the bigger villages, or would make him help him around their tiny home. Kashti would stare around him, having no idea what to do. He would run the dogs until they were sold, to which he was again given nothing to do. He became colder and angry, he wanted to see colors again, he wanted to paint and smile and laugh again. But no one had any life in the cold Alaskan land. So he went wandering around the small village, searching desperately for any color that he could find. Wandering into the forests, he found a small wolf pup with bright gold eyes, and he remembered Isa. He saw the pup's mother lying dead close by, and ran home with the pup inside his coat. After begging his grandfather to keep the pup his grandmother insisted that the pup be kept so Kashti wasn't so depressed all of the time. His grandfather agreed, and Kashti named the pup Keshet (meaning rainbow in Hebrew for females). Kashti and Kashet would run around the village, assisting in pulling supplies to their destinations, helping in the hunts, and even gathering wood, which made the elders laugh. As both Kashti and Isa got older, the two thought of each other and their fun times together, painting and coloring. Kashti, graduated from high school, decided to move south, wanting color back in his life. Moving back to Isa's hometown for a degree in management, he was in a coffee shop when he saw Isa painting a symbol on a wall. Curious, he walked over, and tapped her shoulder, causing Isa to spin around and paint a line across his face. The two stared at each other, and laughed so loud the other people stared. After some time dating, and after Isa completed college for the arts and Kashti for management, the two started a business; lessons on how to paint, draw or learn anything art wise, and a place to sell supplies for artistic dreams. The two married, and live happily together above the shop, and hope to start a family soon.
Well, there was my second one. I hope you like it! I really love these two, and the idea of the two owning an art supply shop while having an art studio to teach others was an amazing idea that popped into my head as soon as I saw them XD Enjoy the story!!!

Ok so here's my first one:
Number: 1
Name: Solis (pronounces soul-iss)
Backstory: Solis was once the daughter of two Archaeologists in the south. During one exploration she discovered a small green stone and showed it to her parents. Her parents were fascinated with the small stone, believing it to be a dinosaur scale or some sort. After searching the area they found more stones of many colors, and had taken them all in. But Solis loved the bright green stone the most, and took it from the stash. She tied the stone in a black string, and hung it around her neck. After wearing the stone for months her skin was starting to change color, as well as highlights were forming in her hair. Her parents were confused, as she had still not told them she had the stone. After another month scales started to grow, and her parents became worried and took her to one of their friends to see if he knew what was wrong. After looking her over, he discovered the stone, and after taking it discovered that a substance inside the stone was mutating her. Soon some heard of her mutation, and in the night she was stolen from her parents and taken far away from there, where they took her blood and bits of skin for experiments, keeping her caged and chained to watch her change over the years. One of the scientists, a woman with her own long violet hair and green eyes known as Rexia (pronounced reh-zee-ah), was kind to her, and gave her the stuffed dinosaur so she wasn't alone in her captivity. The woman herself reveals to be a mutation like herself, and soon the two escape out of the compound. The two travel all over the country, searching for Solis's parents before the scientists do. Solis dreams of finding her parents, and finding a family for Rexia so she isn't alone either.
Here's this one for Number 1. Posting my other one next =3
