Very good work! I really like it!
But as a purist aviation fan I must say that the prop is wrong. The P51 in its most used type had a 4 blade prop. The 3 blade was only used on earlier types like the A and B series. Those had 'razorback' canopany's insead of the bubble type that you displayed.
And usualy the USAAF had the nationality markings on one wing only. The top marking was usualy on the left, the bottom one usualy on the right wing. And the roundels on the wings are backwards. the middle 'spike' should point in the direction the plane is flying.
(Please forgive me for this )
Apart from this you did a great job!

2D fake DOF will never look as right as real DOF, so just use Cycles for it.
Also you have problems with scale. The pencils are microscopic in comparison with the wood texture and the plane model size (which feels like something not longer than 20cm)

Very good.
I think you might be able to do better on the depth-of-field effect, but I had the exact same problem it looks like your having on my "jewel" project.
The texturing and modeling on the plane is amazing, but some of the peripherals are not up to par.
All in all, Great work, great set up, amazing piece, but room for improvement.

I 100% agree. the model plane itself is hard to find any flaw at all i think, but the pencils really throw the image off for me, and the sizing of the ruler / wood grain etc are also just not quite right...
fantastic work though ^_^

Great rendering and awesome post processing (did you use the composer or something like Gimp?)

Thanks!
For Images I use Photoshop for post processing. I do only Videos in the Blender Compositing!
