Description A portrait of Javert. I realize Mizzies are used to (and would prefer) the uniform used for the stage productions but the second I saw the uniform as depicted in the movie it just felt right. Not just historically, but I feel it would be something Javert would like more considering the validation he craved.

Anyhoo...

Modeled in D|s 4.5, rendered in Reality 2.5, LuxRender 1.0.

Locke by Phoenix1966 [link] , First French Empire uniform from renapd's excellent sets [link] , SOTO's Posing Background by Hellboy [link] .

I'm not sure if this is from the book, but I was inspired by this [link] :

Certain police officers have a peculiar physiognomy, which is complicated with an air of baseness mingled with an air of authority…The human face of Javert consisted of a flat nose, with two deep nostrils, towards which enormous whiskers ascended on his cheeks. One felt ill at ease when he saw these two forests and these two caverns for the first time. When Javert laughed,—and his laugh was rare and terrible,—his thin lips parted and revealed to view not only his teeth, but his gums, and around his nose there formed a flattened and savage fold, as on the muzzle of a wild beast. Javert, serious, was a watchdog; when he laughed, he was a tiger. As for the rest, he had very little skull and a great deal of jaw…Between his eyes there was a permanent, central frown, like an imprint of wrath; his gaze was obscure; his mouth pursed up and terrible; his air that of ferocious command…This singular composite of the Roman, the Spartan, the monk, and the corporal.

Javert and Les Miserables are property of their respective owners. This art is mine.

Hi spiritfox

The software is Daz Studio 4.5, which is free [link]

Javert's skin and shape is Locke from Phoenix1966, here's a link to his shop : [link] ,

The uniform has pieces from several of renapd's excellent period costume sets:[link]

The background is free: SOTO's Posing Background by Hellboy [link]

While I used Daz for setting up, I used the Reality plug in [link] and LuxRender [link] to render it. Some post-work in PS.

Sure, hon.

You'll need to create an account and "buy" it by putting it into the cart and checking it out. You'll be given a serial number in your account. Btw, forgot about this: [link]

There's a coupon code so you can get the Buccaneer basic outfit free Btw Hexagon, which is used to make stuff and Bryce, which is used to make scenery, are also free.

Let's work on this by process of elimination. Where did you install it to and did you run all the components?

Also, what are your PC's technical specifications?

I run Daz not from my C drive (which is fast but has a smaller capacity because it's SSD) but from my E. Properties show the following:

Target: "E:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\DAZStudio.exe"
Start in: "E:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4"
