I was gonna add 'And Maybe he'll think about coming Back' but the very thought of it made every fiber in my body go 'dude, way too far!'the original joke was to have Ash raised by his Dad and his mother be absent, but i decided against it because it'd take too much explaining

After losing to Serena's Fennekin with the Rapscallion (opposite of the Gentleman), ash runs off crying
and then loses his own Pikachu within the caves
