Edit: Okay, this is an old tutorial done a year ago so by this time I've learned some new stuff, YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC TO GET INSPIRATION!
My favourite thing to do is go onto tumblr and stalk theartofaniamtion.tumblr or stalk photography blogs. They have awesome stuff, but the best thing to do is to get out and travel and see different stuff Take note of the small things around your enviroment like fire hydrants, lamp posts, trees how they're positioned or in the kitchen the utensils everything.
This is because when you get to a stage where you want to draw more complex enviroments you need to know these small things to give the viewer hints and clues about the surroundings. Trust me on this
