Not bad. Nice design. Kind of reminds me of Ultraman The Next. It's definitely the kind of design you'd expect if America was making a high budget Ultraman movie and actually designed a suit, not just a CGI Ultraman model.

Frankly, Iβd prefer if at least the people working on the project DID care, and secondly, Iβm honestly not a fan of a machine-like Ultraman. Itβd make him far too similar to Iron Man and any attempt at bringing the franchise to an American audience would likely get lambasted on that basis. It also doesnβt help that Ultraman being a robot is already a popular misconception. I think any American adaptation should showcase what makes Ultraman unique instead of trend-chasing on βrobot suits are coolβ.

I wasnβt arguing that practical effects should be used, I was arguing that anyone who adapts Ultraman needs to care enough to acknowledge the fact that the Ultras themselves are not the same thing as the morphed form of a Power Ranger or an Iron Man suit. Contrary to popular misconception, Ultraman is NOT a robot. That fact needs to be taken into account when redesigning him, even for American audiences who are otherwise unfamiliar.

This is assuming TsuPro doesnβt take the Toho approach and essentially force them to get it right. Which, I can honestly see happening.
Besides, it would hardly be the first American adaptation. Ultraman Powered turned out pretty faithful.

Personally the race of the human host doesnβt matter too much to me.
However, if the movie is set in Japan, well yeah itβs gonna be pretty hard to believe that guy being anything other than Asian descent.
