Oh man, you did that in ten minutes? It would take me over an hour to do that. Also, amazing improvement!

That, sir, is some crazy improvement Trying to learn how to draw well, only on paper as of now, maybe I'll buy a Wacom Bamboo if I get better :3

thank you! I've found that the best way learn to draw is on paper and to talk to and get feedback from as many artists as possible. Keep it up and you'll get better in leaps and bounds

Oh yea, well, at least I'm not stuck at drawing stickmen anymore Maybe sooner or later I'll upload something, though it will be black and white... By the way, your dragon made me realize a few things I messed up with my dragon drawings, mostly the belly and the end of the wing (my wing drawings are good as far as you don't take a look at their end )

Going back to your dragon... I think maybe he looked better with a bit more hand-like frontal paws... And that head is strange, though seeing your other pieces I guess it's intentional

the beginning is the hardest part, once you get the basics the other stuff comes pretty quickly, I find studying anatomy is a great way to learn how to draw body shapes. Whats so bad about the ends of your dragon's wings?

Yea, I tried to make him as close to the old one as possible (same pose, same body shape, same head type ect) plus it was only a quick 10 min sketch, so I didn't really bother with detail or anything like that.

Yup, as far as I see it, even professionals spend a lot of time studying things they've never drawn before For me, anatomy is one thing, but lights and cruises on cloth are daaaamn hard to learn :3

Well, my dragon's wings so far had a different shape, and thus they looked strange

I wish I could draw something like this in 10 minutes, but I guess with time I'll get faster (and cleaner...)

yea, cloth and fabric is very hard to draw, especially digitally.

I've found that now I can draw something that would have taken me an hour or more in a matter of minuets to a higher standard, the better you get and the more you learn lets you draw faster as well as better.

I hope I'll improve fast enough not to be discouraged ^^

By the way, how is drawing digitally compared to graphite sketches? And how hard is it to get used to drawing in colours as opposed to graphite?

I'm sure you will if you work at it

In my opinion traditional drawing and sketching is easier and better to learn with, but digital can give he works a 'cleaner' look. Traditional is much better to learn with, and digital takes a while to get used to.
