Description
A little thing I made heavily inspired by this great tutorial!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Oybvr…I want to paint/draw backgrounds/landscapes more, they're actually really fun and calming!

OH MY HECC THIS IS NICEEEEE FOR A FIRST (or not so first) PAINTING
Only few suggestions I have is:
Blend the lighting and shading a little more with the leaves and the grass.
Choose a slightly lighter and pinker colour for the trunk to compliment the piece.
Change the colour of the shading on the tree to make it a little more pleasing (i dunno, just that colour looks a lil weird ;w; )
If the very light pink cloudy objects are supposed to be bushes make em a bit darker! If not, don't worry about this.
That's all the suggestions I have, you don't need to take all of them. Other than that, this is an excellent beautiful painting! Keep it up!

Thank you!! I actually made the shading chunkier (?) on purpose since I kinda like how that looks for some reason?? I could have used more mid-tones though.
The cloudy stuff is supposed to be clouds, so no comment on that! I maybe should have made that clearer though//
Do you think you can elaborate on the bit about the trunk's color, though? I don't seem to understand ;;

Yeah, mid-tones would be good for chunky shading!
Maybe a bit more detail (like using a bit of a fluffy brush) to the clouds would help! (But I think you’ve done a really good job on the clouds :3)
And as for the trunk’s colour, sorry for not making it clear!
This is an example (though I’m not sure if I’ve done a good job):

Edited (made the trunk a bit pinker):

Maybe someday if I feel like I could be better, though I just wanna do art and animation as a hobby so it doesn’t hugely matter if I take criticism or not lol
