BIG FILE.It took a while, but here's my entry for 's Yu Yu Hakusho contest. It's a coloring contest so the lineart belongs to Atomic-Clover. (Though I changed Yusuke's hair; I hope that was alright.) Anyway, I had a freakin' blast coloring this, and I learned so much about SAI in the process.
About the image itself: for me, I see it as a testament that YYH beats Bleach, more so than Yusuke beating Ichi. (Though that would be an interesting fight.) I got to paint Makai for the first time (my first real background too), and Masoku Yusuke has been on my list to draw/color for a long time. Also, I tried making Yusuke's demon energy look glowy. (Did it work?)

Also remember ulqiuorra can regenerate. yusuke can't , let's see Yusuke beat ichigo with a arm or leg cut off or blasted off by ichigos cero. Well, at least until Ichi stopped being a righteous prick and started enjoying the fight, then it would be slightly less of a curbstomp. I mean- he'd still trounce the guy, no question, I just think they'd enjoy it more.
The real question is, would Yusuke be as courteous (?!LOL) as Grimmjow and actually get him there, or would he just be like "pfft. lame." *curbstomp!*

OMG! This is amazing! I love it so much! I am a fan of both Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho and I must agree that Yusuke would totally kick Ichigo's ass! XD The colors are amazing, I love it!

i imagine this is exactely how this fight would go down. wouldn't even be a contest mostly because yusuke isn't a whiny little girly-man. . .

Thanks! I tried going for the motion lines to make Ichi look like he was being slammed into the ground. (I love Bleach, but Yu Yu Hakusho is just better.) >8D
Also, I LOVE your Yu Yu Hakusho art! I remember seeing your version of the guys in modern clothes and Yusuke had that skeleton hoodie that designed. Great idea, and it totally suited him.

So epic! I loved this! I think Yusuke's hair is well rather awesome in the way it kinda hangs everywhere at once. And his energy is glowy and looks great. Also i love the coloring for Yusuke, I like than he's that particular shade of tan. And the markings contrast well with the skin tone. It's a nice comboination
P.S. Gotta love Yusuke kicking Ichigo's butt. I like Ichigo and Bleach but Yusuke and Yu Yu Hakusho shall always be better than Bleach.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I went overboard with Yusuke's hair, but it was fun to paint. As for his skin, I had to re-paint it three or four times because he kept looking too dark. Plus, Makai has that dark sky, so I wanted everything to reflect that.
P.S. Same here. I love Bleach, but Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite anime of all time. ^^

I'm glad you like it. It was A LOT of trial and error mostly. (I had to re-paint Yusuke's skin three or four times.) I painted some red around Yusuke and then messed with those layer styles I told you about to get the glowy effect.
What's weird is that I think the mountain was my favorite thing to paint.
