I went shooting downtown yesterday... and while I didn't shoot any impressive number of pictures, they are all about lines, one way or the other.

Yes, if it is improving our society in some manner.... Your dumpster shots could be changing lives!

They have definitely changed mine, all right.

And they're definitely having an impact on my work. I'm in this phase where shapes have so much significance. I'm also experimenting with colours....I needed a shot of vibrancy in my work. My paintings and sketches from last year are very dark and depressing.

Well, then I'm happy to help. Dark and depressing you say... I'm curious whether you'll be feeling the same way about them in another year.

Most likely. It all represents different periods of my life. Some of my first deviations were made in my final year of high school. It was not a fun time of my life. Right now, I'm just enjoying a lot of things (except where I work at the moment).

I suppose the work situation has been fixed now. As for high school... no, I don't have fond memories of high school either. Actually, now that I think of it, I don't really know many people who do...

Not even just high school...childhood in general. It seems like a lot of people have dark stuff associated with their early years.

If it helped you grow and be who you are today... as much of a cliche as it may sound, it was really worth it. And it gets better, take my word on it.

I heard from quite a few people that things would get better for me once I start university. University was a nightmare. I dropped out right away....but I've doing pretty well since. I hope that when I go to Art School, it would be as depressing. Somehow, I don't think it will be.

I hope it won't be... it should be quite the opposite, actually.

My first year in university wasn't particularly enjoyable either, as a matter of fact... but I managed to survive. What I meant about things getting better is that they won't be as bad as they were in high school... or at least that's my experience. I know it doesn't sound like much... but anything was better than high school when it happened. Man, am I glad all that's behind me now. Whew!

High school was the most boring experience imaginable. There were some really difficult things to deal with, but most of my memories are quite funny. I can't believe what my friends and I did to alleviate the boredom. And I'm not even talking about drugs here....

I'm glad you do. It was four years of absurdity, that's for sure.

Maybe that's what high school is for... preparing kids for the absurdity to come.

I agree with you on that. My life has been completely absurd since graduating. Life seems more amusing than ever before.

And that's the good kind of absurd. And sometimes it gets even better... at least, if my recent past is indicative of anything.
