I drew this back when Konami were teasing a new Gurren Lagann Project, so me being the GL loving trashheap I drew this up because oh my god I LOVE THESE TWO. Then we found out that it was for a Pachinko game and I cried.Simon and Nia (c) Gainax/Konami?

I barely finally sat down and watched this series after many years of backlog.
I was content with it's outcome. If it weren't for that director, I probably wouldn't have considered watching it.
I liked his work in Dead Leaves, Re: cutie honey and of course kill la kill.
Sadly, I don't think we'll be seeing much of this aesthetic anymore in the near future or the rest of this decade.
The 00's and 10's had some good iconic series for sure. Makes me glad I outgrew the old ones from the 80's after a while.

I'm a lil bit of a trashheap, when I rewatch Gurren Lagann and stare at that dream image of them being married, I'm just blubber.

I'm not sure why having normal human feelings about a piece of fictional media, where there's hotblooded passion by the bucketload and strong interpersonal relationships between the characters formed the backbone of the plot, makes you a trashheap.
