Nice legs and torso! I do agree with Xperimental00's suggestions below on shading and adding depth by value. In fact, your "failed" version isn't as bad as you think! Try picking colors other than pure white for your highlights. You can start by choosing a desaturated, lighter version of the base color, then paint the highlight on using a hard-edged brush.

Otherwise, the relative simplicity of this design gets positive points.

I just feel that the highlight kinda doesn't fit in the right place. Still got problem with creating smooth line with hard edge brush. Thanks so much for the advice anyway, I'll try it on the future works

Lol at the RGB theme. Sledgessault looks like the grunt among the three IMHO. Great design overall, it looks really versatile and sturdy (despite the relatively small feet) and I like those exposed unarmored parts. The shading's good, though I suggest you add some light shading in surfaces angled inwards, and highlights (yay, I found the correct term XD) as well. These should give better depth to the design, and they should make parts facing the observer should look less flat. That's all, and keep it up.

Thank you. Yeah, quite careless this time with the shading. Actually I have tried to put some highlight but it just doesn't look right(droped it to the scrap folder). And since the other two don't have highlight either, I decide to post the one without highlight

Anyway, I saw that highlighted version. Ain't that bad really, I think you did it right on the rounded parts. As for flat surfaces though, you either have to highlight the entire surface facing your light source (those surfaces tilting to the top in your case), then leave the rest as is.
