Who does not like pouches?

I dunno, but if they all carried a magazine each, that would be VERY heavy and probably quite cumbersome.Β

Somewhere around 10 kilograms. Heavy, but manageable. And that's assault rifle magazines, while we can pretend the soldier carries SMG ones.
Btw, things on the chest aren't pouches, they are part of the unimount system.

Unimount...you mean like MOLLE webbing? Well, the dislike of pouches is just me. Firearm magazines can be quite heavy, and I'm from the school of thought that if you're going to be going around with a lot of weight, you might as well be wearing 20-40mm of rolled homogeneous Β steel plate armor.Β

It's not quite MOLLE, probably something earlier. I failed to identificate this one, but it's obviously some kind of universal mounting system.

Anyway it's only a concept, and mostly intended for isometry angle training, not for exact representation of armor design.

Either way, it's still good art. The pictures are drawn a bit small so the detail is hard to see very well, but that's all I can really complain about.
