-that misses the good ol' LoS days. I mean, drama and all, I miss em anyways. I miss when the fandom was full and thriving and everyone was trying to imagine ways the trilogy would end, and how amazing it would look on the new PS3 and Xbox360. I miss when the Spyro tag was filled with amazing los themed art and everyone loved to have conversation about it.Of course, all things good must come to an end I guess. Everyone grew up, the LoS series ended, and a new era of Spyro emerged. Even though the fandom seems to have dried up, I am seeing all these artists I met through that fandom when it was at it's high point, growing up, and they are becoming even greater artists than before which it makes me really happy. Even though I know everyone is kind of doing their own thing now, I'll always know that we all share wonderful memories of a game trilogy (and of course the original ps1 series), that sparked our imaginations and drove us to draw and draw. I am so happy that I was able to be a part of that.
Drew this the other day when I was feeling nostalgic and I'd rather post it here than just having it float around my computer for the rest of eternity. lol Hope you all get a kick out of it though!
Edit: Woah! This is the most feedback I have gotten on a sketch like ever! And the most feedback I've gotten in a while on top of that. Thank you all so much! I will respond to messages when I am less swamped with school projects and finals! Thank you guys for bearing with me!

You're so right when you say that the memories linger. I got into the TLoS fandom when the second game had just come out, and from that very moment I fell deeply in love. The game was great, and everyone in the fandom was enthusiastic to reach out and talk about the games. The art was fantastic, and the writing was even better.
I decided to start writing stories for Spyro about a year into the fandom. I realized that it would be the best way I could contribute to the group. Up to this day, I'm still writing fics for the fandom, though I do it less frequently than before. The fandom helped me to plant the writer seed in me, and thanks to it I have grown as an author tenfold.

I loved the Spyro games, even though I've only played the first Spyro the Dragon and DotD xD I need to emulate the first trilogy when I get the chance to. And see about the other two LoS games. I never was a part of the fandom though because I didn't have a computer at the time DotD came out. I only got it over XBLA like, a year and a half ago or so. BUT I STILL LOVE TO PLAY IT. Wish I could've been a part of the fandom, as it sounds like it was pretty good. x3

Mmm, I remember this. The Spyroforums were so awesome and stuff. I still know a few people w ho are active through LoS but...yeah. It's so drama-llama. Almost feel ashamed I write fanfictionf or it sometimes. Maybe it'll never come back, but I was glad to be a part of it when it was a leginimately fun place to be.

Yeah I always went to fan forums to find out anything that was released about the next game that was supposed to come out. It really was dramatic. Maybe that had to do with the age group that seemed to be attracted to it. Tweens/teens are really dumb. lol. Nono, I totally feel you. I look back at some of my old conversations and just kinda sigh for like an hour straight. But at the same time I don't regret being a part of the fandom.

You know, I have been slowly losing interest in Spyro and more into just... dragons in general. I still would consider myself a fan, but I do get hooked to other things, too.

I kinda missed it all myself, and only found the epic fan works that had been done after DOTD had been out for a while and Skylanders was on the horizon...still, at least the art still exists to inspire others!

I honestly don't really know how they could have continued after a story arc like that. I mean, anything not having to do with the world ending would have felt kind of boring to play, but having more random crises happen would have been really cliched. That's probably why good stories have to come to an end.

Awww...I feel the same way. Dawn of the Dragon was really special for me and helped me bond with some of my best friends ever in college...it's such a pity that it's over, but I'm also so glad that it happened. I certainly won't stop playing it.

I should do that some day just for shits and gigs. I did rewatch most of the cut scenes not that long ago, that was pretty interesting. I am only just now realizing how corny all of it was. But man, I did and still will always love it. Corniness and all. XD I really miss the chronicler and learning about malefor's history was some cool shit. That would have been a cool story to seen fleshed out in an actual game/comic/movie. ;w;

I used to think the backgrounds were so amazing, but when I re-played the warfang level I was just like "wow that animation for the army out there is so awful omfg"
I think TLoS would have made a fantastic comic- and if it was fleshed out a little more I think more people would still be into it ;u;

What you wrote in the description brought back some good memories and even a tear scaped from my eyes, and OHMYGOSH this pic that you drew of them is so beautiful, it kinda reminds me the last scene of DOTD. They look so cheerful and the way you drew them, making them looks older, is awesome.
