Third submission for the 2009 Wacom Dreams Contest.Initial thoughts when I started this piece were based around a simple aspiration/dream from a concept design point-of-view. More importantly, this piece also illustrates how something so massive, so radical or outrageous starts with an idea; a dream. This can be seen with many modern achievements & architectual masterpieces. Should the need arise, even if not an artist or engineer, then someone, somewhere, would aspire to creating such a titanic piece of aspiring archicecture.
The concept is a cluster of 'colonies' established in a post-apocalyptic water-bourne world. This has all been painted from scratch.
Wacom Bamboo Tablet + PsCS2 + roughly 12 hours

Thanks, yeah this was quite a while ago. Would have been much better with my Intuos instead of the Bamboo!
