Since I couldn't get a comic page out this week, I figured I'd whip something smaller together. Thanks for the suggestion of having them cosplay as this turned out to be a lot of fun.If you've been around the anime scene for long, I'm sure that the character Ash is cosplaying, Lina Inverse of Slayers requires no introduction. Sarah's "chosen" character, Naga the White Serpent, didn't make it into the main televised series, instead only appearing in the novels, movies, OVA and manga.
Poor Sarah. Would you believe that it was her Mom that put her up to this? The woman tends to go overboard in showing off her daughter's physique. Isn't it usually the other way around?

They were conflicted by the geek-factor of the costume and fatherly protectiveness. It really helps to know that if she had the choice she'd be back in far less provocative clothing in seconds.
That's a trend that her Mom has been trying to break her of for years.

Ah OC cosplays, such a tricky thing imo. The fine line between looking like your character and looking like theirs... is cheated when you character has giant orange spots on her face. XD
