Description
Let me open my clenched fists;
bring together my hands,
in prayer. For a friend.
For those who have hurt me.
For they too have been hurt.
They might be blind,
I'm not.
As I let them go,
I get to be free myself.
I release myself.
Nothing is holding on to me
from the past,
everybody has moved on,
only I am,
and my unwillingness to forgive.
Let me give myself
the permission to move on,
to heal,
to finally close the chapter,
and not make it the story of my life.
I can choose now.
Start afresh, right now.
Let me open my closed heart, once again.
Receive the light and love
the world has to give.
Only I can.
