Gaaah, the atmosphere is just great,
I like that there is no clear border between the sea and the sky, deep evening sky - it caught my eye and in general has a great effect.
I like yout texture choice, it looks sandy metallic and oh so right. It makes a veeery nice rustiness on Sasuke's clothes, great shades. I really enjoy the colors. Soft but deep.
And your unique style is always amazing
What I find not right is Sasuke's face. I think, his eyes, both (or probably just his left one), are too much on the left (from our side), that's why his face looks crookedly, not symmetrically (relatively his chin).

The bg had four versions. I wanted deep blue sky, but how to make it not looking mawkish, orz. In the end I've drawn a very free varation of Sasuke's plushie dinosaur and it makes, as I see, nice job connecting sky and sea ^^
Time of the day, ah yes. One can take random guess and with this light everything would suit. I myself see morning : )
I already fixed the eye, thanks, it really looks better now.
And the textures :3 It was an experiment. I played with colour dodge mode and that's probably what makes the biggest effect of texturising. This is how it looks without cdogde layer, if you're interested ^^ [link] Maybe it's even better.

omfg! i love the texture!!!!! it's the perfect choice for this scene. i really like how you colored itachi. he's like this looming shape/shadow. i also like how it's black so you sorta can't tell if he was wearing his akatsuki cape or regular uchiha clothes. i think you did a great job at capturing sasuke. he looks small. which is really significant when you combine it with his face. it's reminiscent of his facial expressions when he was young after itachi said he couldn't hang out with sasuke. the background is beautiful. this is a very lovely piece.

Yes, I made him that darker, a shadow (of life), on purpose. And so true, Uchiha clothes are very similar to Akatsuki ones :3
I had a hard time drawing Sasuke and in the end when he came out so melancholic I didn't even want to put this picture here. But very glad you find him all right, I love this association to his younger self. Like nothing had even changed... Except that nothing will ever be the same.

When I saw this...I cried...and I still am. Maybe it also has something to do with the Shippuuden OST--(19)Despair, (13)Loneliness and (22)Tragic that I'm listening to that makes it even angstier than it is. I kept staring at it...hoping it could have happened in the manga...hoping that Sasuke could say how much or show how much he loved his aniki before he died...
Even till now, I still cry when I remember Itachi smiling for the last time...and Sasuke crying...makes my throat tighten everytime and makes my heart clench...
It's...devastating...but...it might be more if you made Sasuke crying...
This is...such an emotional piece of artwork that I can't seem to express how much I'm feeling about it...just that...the most prominent feeling that I'm sure of, is the heartache/total sorrow...

I was so uncertain about putting this picture here, because it's exactly that ridiculously weepy, but how to fight it... I want to cry every time I read last chapter. I really should stop being masochistic -_-'
They are both so scarred by years of tragic, ugly life and I so much wish too they had the chance to be just brothers, but I don't know if it would be possible for them now, to just act so brotherly, carefree. And that's what so much sad, that everything is so irreversible :'( Even if events were different, there was so many evil in their lives. Starting from that night, everything ended for good. This is just....

It's just like the world nowadays...nobody knows, or nobody seems to try to understand those who are suffering because they want to help other people...
That's the saddest part out of everything...no matter how much they love each other, they couldn't be just brothers. They couldn't spend time together, with smiles on their faces, facing troubles together...
Most of the Shippuuden episodes have been making me cry lately...because I just got to watch them yesterday and the day before that...it touched me so much, that Gaara has his whole village needing him. It made me cry to see that Naruto is very much cared for by Sakura...but I wished most of all, (besides having some SasuSaku moments...)...was to have Itachi have somebody to take care of him,...to care for him like Sakura cares for all of her teammates. Understanding each one of them, and trying her best to make herself useful. Which is why I support ItaSaku...Sakura's understanding and devotion runs so deep...she'd be willing to help anybody, but most of all protect the ones she loves the most. There are so many factors which makes this pairing so much suitableβ¦
I'm gonna prepare for one helluva crying session when I watch Itachi and Sasuke's fight, along with Madara's story-telling....I'm feeeling...that all throughout the episodes, Iβd be bawling my eyes out, and go emo for daysβ¦
His bloody tears are what wrenches the hearts of those who love himβ¦his family would understand what he had doneβ¦but I wish Sasuke would be shed some light onβ¦

Exactly the same here, I'm already buying stock of tissues for those episodes, and so so can't wait them. Anime will strike more than this emo state now, because it'll be all with voices, music, prolonged moments. I pray so much they gave suitable music.
Oh and yes, a person who would give him even the tinest shadow of peace, some moment of rest. It's so cruel he had absolutely no one, all life just himself, so cold. It pains me every time I think about it, which is all the time...
I, well... I support ItaSaku, but find myself unable to create it. I agree that Sakura has the potential to be recreated into a girl who would love him, because of her great heart and fierce protective instincts. Also because she's a very smart, strong character, and only that person would be good for him. And also because he's a beauty incarnate, gentle and loving, and it's exactly what he needs... But all alone, I don't *feel* them. I read about them and watch good pictures with pleasure, but I myself can't do either. And even if Sakura is the only way to read about Itachi, there's still so much abuse of Itachi, it's just... Argh. I'll better end here and I'm sorry for mini-rant.

i have to agree. itasaku appears to work, all the characteristics are there. but it doesn't feel like it works. sakura is sasuke's sakura (i hate sasusaku, btw). she isn't itachi's sakura. he has his own. i truely believe that that girlfriend/lover itachi had was just like sakura.

Agree 9000%. It's just that type of a human that, in my opinion, would attract Itachi and his gf surely was of similar character. Sakura can be Sasuke's, I have nothing against it, but I think that if it was an AU, ItaSaku would work just fine, screw foolish little brother who isn't interested in her, Itachi would show him what he's missing : )

don't get me wrong, i also think itasaku could work. it just doesn't really feel right to me because itachi had his own 'sakura.' i don't support sasusaku and i don't think it will happen. i fear very much for sakura right now. i hope she is over sasuke. he's the husband type that beats their wives. i really hope sasuke isn't looking to rape all the women in konoha in order to rebuild his clan. sakura is definitly not sasuke's. but in the beginning she did chose him (i really think she's over him now), and in that sense she is 'sasuke's.' i LOVE itasaku AU. it's basically the only type of itasaku fanfiction i'll read. paws-bells is the best!

Yeah! It the same reason of ItaSaku being not entirely good, because firstly, canon Sakura is not 100% THIS kind of girl, and second - he has his own.
It would be very hypocritical of Sasuke to now try to use Sakura to rebuilt his clan, like nothing ever happened or what. I hope she is over him in the sense she has enough reason to not just blindly agree for him. And omg, please, don't even say this 'r' word, as both brothers, regardless of characters, personalities and beliefs, would never ever lower themselves to such shallow act.
I love pawsies fics too :3 They are all my favourites, she's one of those precious, rare gems in the ItaSaku fandom...

at this point i have no faith in sasuke's character. actually, he has no character, he's in the character development stage. i wouldn't put any terrible criminal act past sasuke. i mean, he willingly gave his body to a lecherous pedifile. anyways, for some reason i don't think he means 'rebuild' in the way we think (have lots of kids that is). i'm a bit concerned that he means something completely different. maybe resurrect dead clan members, maybe create his own village of uchihas only, maybe use test tube babies (or something scientific like that...he did live with the ultimate crazy scientist for quite some times...)... idk. 403 was very confusing. sasuke had a very different tone from 402. first he uses 'crush konoha' and now it's 'rebuild clan my way.' i'm skeptical...

Again, fully agree. He maybe seems so plain stupid now, destroy Konoha, but recent chapters learned to not label the characters so quickly. I'm sure there more to him, the question is what. What confuses me is that he tells (feels) he respects his brother, grieves for him etc, and yet, wants to do something completely against his beliefs. Trash his sacrifice for Konoha and for Sasuke himself. Sasuke is intelligent, it may be that he thinks of some other, wicked way to produce the clan. But I can't support him, because... Destroying Konoha isn't a good deed o_O Uchiha village sounds creepy. And still, Itachi was wiser than him, that's why stopping Sasuke and beating the reson into him is now top prioroty - for Naruto. Though, I'm really curious what his reaction will be upon hearing his beloved friend wants to attack Konoha.

sasuke's actions concerning konoha are very logical for him. being an avenger he acted in a way an avenger would. i don't think sasuke fully understands itachi. i think he understands the 'facts' and '

I don't have confidence in Sasuke, but rather Naruto - and in Kishimoto. Manga will now follow his development, we shall see how he becomes good.....
Yeah, he had much time to think and surely has a set plan, but details are exaclty guesses. I don't think though he understands Itachi either, and that's what Itachi himself predicted, that Sasuke will need a rescuing hand from where Madara has him. Such a predictable boy.
