Lyo's and Vidar's biggest luck was Helena. The trail riding partner of Vidar for the second time at this event.

She didnt only come with great endurance experience but also unexpected knowledge how to treat Lyo's heart condition.

While Vidar ran for the emergency bag to dig out the nitro-pills Helena spoke to Lyo calmly, holding his hand and letting him know hes not alone.

Damon told her the best she could do was this. Not an easy thing to ask from someone who would rather panic and call for help.

Helena's confident and endlessly calm nature was the best medicine besides the pills.

Vidar managed to -maybe slightly forcefully- make Lyo swallow it, soon he calmed and doze off in the warmth of the tent.

Helena really turned to a close friend of the whole family in the past year and like a sister to Vidar.

He decided to take a route straight down the mountain to Obertauern, letting Helena follow with Lyo the other day

when they woke up, not expecting them to join in the morning. If Lyo managed to get up at all .

He wasnt worried to leave them alone, as his partner could handle the whole situation damn well.

Pretty sure the entrants would only think Lyo and Helena got into the romantic kind of business in the morning, unable to join the departure xP

Once Vidar was thankful for the womanizer reputation of his brother to let that thought come first before worries about his health xD

No one needed to know the actual reason, why the two trail leaders stayed behind.

That night Lyo had a very silent but long talk with Helena. He was sure he will be judged for his action to join the trail,

while he knew about his disease. That it would be immature, silly.....

But to his surprise.

She admired him for that. She didnt judge him to push his limits and his decision that he had come too far to turn back home.

Right now when he felt like the wind in the sails was gone, each word of hers caused an uplifting breeze, until there was a strong force again.

They were people with such a different mentality, yet she never tried to change him and also always kept her own shape,

he was simply thankful to know such a harmonious, easy going person as her.
