I started this drawing in August
I used a program named Corel Painter, but it started acting up. It closed by itself after less than a min every time I tried drawing
At that point I wasn't able to get it too look the same in Adobe Photo Shop.
But now that I had more experience in Adobe I got a similar look (But it's not exacly the same thou

Referance: a dragon sculpture from the McFarlen series (I have four out of five, I can't find the last one

I used my own copy of that sculpture as referance, siting next to my desk wile drawing this.
I believe I gave him justice

funnily enough i found out that the sorcerer dragons from that set are female

but the sorcerer dragon is actually a sorceress dragon
I only found that out because i looked at the booklet thing that came with the figurine

This is painted really well... and I also happen to have an action figure that looks just like it. Amazing detail.

As everyone else has said, this is fantastic. I love the texture, especially on the beak.
The lines on the neck seem very harsh and they draw the eye away from the face and the orb, which seem to want to be the focal point. I think if you softened the lines on the neck slightly it would help to push it further back into the picture allowing the head to have more impact.
However, this looks totally awesome as is. The details on the head blow me away!

I did have a hard time with the neck. I tried to make it less hard, but it never turned out any good.
The face did turn out good, but my fav part is actualy the sholder and the spices just above it =^_^=
