Wow it's...been a while since I really did anything for myself, much less make a character that I'm so attached to that isn't a persona or anything. xD

(Trigger warning for those who have sensitivity to rape situations / post traumatic stress disorder / violence / or just don't like any biblical references )

A little bit about this guy:

Alais was a chosen angel of war, sent to claim territory and ground in the great fighting of evil and good. In the world's wrought apocalypse, many angels fell, demons too. Those humans who were taken before the fighting lived then in heaven's paradise, a safe haven from the blood feud down below.
The war left its results behind - wreckage for thousands and thousands of miles - bodies of those who weren't saved littered the earth and stank, truly a hell that had risen.
Year later as the fighting died down, the humans started rebuilding, the ones left behind that were too cursed by their choices in life had to survive, the plague of misfortune upon their land drove many to insanity after losing loved ones - often resorting to violence, rapes and pillages of the few areas that thrived.
There were no rules. There was only instinct.

Again, God sent down his angels to rain down a terror upon these kinds of people, a sort of elimination or extermination of sorts.
Alais led this raid, slaughtering those who committed such nefarious acts against what was supposed to be human's second chance - but they ruined it.
Unfortunately unknown to the angels, demons had risen up and communed with the humans - enough to the point where their blood mixed and their spawn littered the world, a hybrid of nightmares.
These demonic humans fought back, their super strength and superior speed compared to the humans before astounding.
Many angels, caught off guard, died, or were captured - and amongst the few captured and taken alive - was Alais who had been leading a group through a settlement in search of innocents to save and deliver upwards.
Kept barely alive, Alais endured years or torture and maiming, his flesh cut and his wings burned - but it took a lot to even kill an angel - so his rightful immortality was becoming his downfall.
The demon lord who captured him had another plan for him - she fed him demon's blood, chaining him up and spiking his wings to the walls, becoming so savage as to even brutally rape and misuse his body.
Alais suffered from traumatic stress, often losing his mind and breaking into wild antics, the collar that was placed upon him hooked up to a machine that constantly fed him demon's blood, infesting his now broken body with the stuff.
It was all hopeless, why was he still there?
Possibly because he endured the torture to keep his friends alive.
It didn't last long - as Alais slowly came into realization his body was reacting to the injections, his body began to mutate into a demonic hybrid - his teeth growing sharper and his lust for blood and violence became immense.

After a while, the demon finally realized she was getting no pleasure from his company anymore, she slaughtered his friends one by one in front of him, forcing him to watch helplessly.
It was then Alais' prayers were finally answered as a bright light filled the room, and three angels descended from above, working together to defeat the demons in the hold that their kind had been captured in, only to find out it had been too late for the others.
Alais wished to return to heaven, but as they brought him to the pearly gates, he was denied entry.
He was no longer an angel of God, his transformation had come too far, and he no longer was what God had created. To make matters worse, his collar then was labeled by an angelic code, that if he ever was to come and try to enter again, he would be struck down, and his wings taken.
Alais knew if his wings were taken, there was no point in continuing as the demon would then take over and he would truly be lost.
It was then that he was told to finish his destiny that he had been created for, the holy words inscribed into his bones, and then and only then he may return home.
Alais then was cast back down to earth, struggling with the being he was now - feeling things he hadn't before, and thinking completely different, but sorrow in his heart.
His loved ones were gone and he was alone, doomed to walk the earth forever until he found his purpose and fulfilled it.

Alais is a relatively untalkative person, often keeping his past to himself, and his identity a secret from the world.
For the shame he hides his face, so that if there were those who recognized him, he would not be scorned for it and spat upon - much less be a target to the demons he fought before.
Working alone comes at a heavy price - you trust no one and no one trusts you. You never settle down and you're always moving from place to place, uncertain if that's the place for you or not.
Living alone, the trauma from before affected Alais in a greater scale - dealing with these new emotions he didn't know how to sort out, and the feeling of being isolated from his family above broke his spirit.
After the years, Alais stopped believing in not only himself, but stopped believing he could ever be saved.
The words inscribed on his bones were that of "Protect, Serve, Deliver", his fate and destiny from the time he was created.
Alais finds himself never wanting to admit it, but he feels broken and longing companionship of sorts.
He doesn't seem to care if he gets hurt, but he will do anything within himself to protect others who deserve it, and only those who are worthy of seeing his halo, can.
He shields himself with his remaining gift from untrusting eyes, although many will acclaim there is something special about Alais without really knowing who or what he is.
There are also times Alais breaks out into a rage, an after effect of the demon blood within himself, and he goes on a blood binge - slaughtering demons and drinking their blood - even though he craves for human, he struggles to keep himself contained, a promise to never feed off one.
If he were, his demonic side would grow, and more ofit would show on his actual person.
Whether that remains how it always will be is up to him.
Generally someone who tries to avoid conflicts, Alais also creates them, depending upon his type of mood at the time since he is not in control over all of his emotions anymore.

QUICK FACTS:

Alais' collar and his face are completely hidden - not even a silhouette of his actual face figure OR the collar are visible due to the area he covered with his powers.

Regular humans and demons often don't take notice of his hood figure, his angelic power tends to repel attention away from him more than attract, a security Alais practices constantly - but there have been some cases where people and demons take notice of him, usually ending up in frequent staring matches, or conflict.
The same goes for his wings -only he can reveal them if he wants to, only growing them when he needs them.

Alais has been known to fight with just his fists and feet, emitting his signature blue lightning on each punch, or releasing it in a massive writhing ball of electrical energy.
Many will tell you when Alais comes into an area, thunder will follow.
