So this weekend I was sorting out A.E.'s plot progression... I had a big list of events jotted down all out of order, because after the Prologue and the first few chapters, I knew most of the events that would happen, but in terms of what precise ORDER they would happen, it was kind of a jumbled mess in my head. o_o; So I sat my butt down and ground my gears and moved the plot points around until I had what I thought was a good ordering (still may be subject to change, we've a long way to go xD). As I did that, more than just the ordering of events became clearer, but some events THEMSELVES became clearer, and I even got this little scene, which hadn't occurred to me before! Yep, the scene above is brand new to my awareness... and as it flooded into my brain it felt so powerful and deep and moving that I just had to draw it preemptively. And before I knew it, I had a full-color illustration. Whups.

Unfortunately this scene doesn't occur until almost the end of the whole story... so I really can't explain it now. But I will say this... Pyroclast CRYING doesn't just... HAPPEN. I mean, those of you who followed the old version of A.E. will attest. You're more likely to find a puddle underwater than to find Pyroclast making puddles with his eyes. So you can bet something REALLY intense is going on. xD AGHHHH, it's gonna be like... ten years before I can actually draw out this scene in the comic itself. WHY must it take so long for a person to make a comic! I can't stand it. :'D

For now I'll just have to let you guys enjoy the picture that spat itself out of my drawing hand, and possibly speculate among yourselves, if it takes your fancy. There's really nothing else I can do at this point, aaaaah
