After stated Balar looked incredibly strong for 80 I thought to myself, "You have NO idea" and decided to draw it.
To ; the reason I don't like to use reference pictures is because of things like this deviation; by not using a reference and drawing things like this I prove my skills to myself; if you'll allow that.
And if you're wondering... his strength is greater than an average human; he can bench 1200 lbs, but that's pushing his limits.

So yes; Balar Grayscale, age 80, showing off his incredibly buff body in a rare moment of taking off his torso armor (aww, he's EXPOSING himself to you ). This is an almost finished sketch; forearms ALWAYS give me the hardest time, but I'll get through it. And after I do I'll go through and add a bunch of little details and some hatched shading. After I finish I'll move this to scraps and submit the final drawing.

It's hard to see, but there's something on his left forearm; you'll see it in better detail later. And can anyone guess where the design for his monocle came from? No prize except the satisfaction of feeling smart (c'mon... you video game buffs should get it).

Heh... I wonder how he went from a thin little bishy boy to a hardened macho man?
