1. Do not stop drawing
2. Use life as a reference
3. Study anatomy (Leonardo Da Vinci's works are my study guide)
4. Learn lighting and composition. (see Albrecht Durer's work)

Gotta be like O'Barr on only using Da Vinci's works, which is a good idea. I usually use realistic anatomy with a SMALL amount of anime but mostly using my own style which makes my characters seem tall and skinny cause they are.

I was like 2 when this came out, so I just read it. And wow, it's amazing. Love the drawing. Very nice shading, and awesome details.
