GUESS WHO SAW DETECTIVE PIKACHU! 8DThe 10-year old in me FREAKED at Mewtwo in this film. I do recommend the film. Mewtwo is fantastic and perfect and aaaaaaaaa!…. still my favourite Pokémon ever. Feels like SO LONG since I drew Mewtwo and it feels good man.
No spoilers here- but my only criticism involves one action sequence which felt like it was just added because the executives were demanding ‘MOAR Pokémon and BIGGER ACTION’. While it’s a very cool scene that entertained the kids (one went ‘wow!’); it was an action scene that went NOWHERE. AND IT’S NEVER DISCUSSED AGAIN DESPITE IT MEANING HUGE THINGS.
If they cut that scene out it would have meant the overall plot could have gained more padding and depth which the film could have really benefited form. The plots OK, but they could have squeezed in more details to make it more solid.
I know it’s a kid’s film but children along with adults can benefit more from a film with more development towards the story. BUT it’s still a great film for pokefans and it’s a lot of fun. Great to see a good video game based film.
And if not more plot- it needed more Mewtwo. Because more perfect monster experiment baby.

I wanna know which scene you're implying. Because there was definitely a BIG scene that had my interests. And how they did Mewtwo was amazing. I was so happy! Also, great seeing art from you again!

heh well films been out long enough I just I can spoil it -
The scene with the KIAJU SIZED TORTERRAS. It was very cool, but at the end of the film no one seemed worried about that? THE MOUNTAINS ARE ALIVE GUYS D8 I know pokemon get big but that was TOO BIG. IT'S A BIG PROBLEM. GUYS?!
I just felt it was something shoe hoed in when they could have explained the soul transfer thing in a little more detail. Or at least fleshed it out. Too many people got over being in a body of their Pokémon for a few minutes. I would have several things to say if I was in a Zubat for a while.

The whole growth serum that was used on the Torterras is EXTREMELY RELEVANT TO ME. Just check my gallery 
But the movie certainly had a lot of content which means there were some plot holes. I definitely was willing to accept the movie for what it was to me: Mewtwo and Ryan Reynolds.
The soul transfer is another feature added to Mewtwo. So much to discuss now!

oh yeah with the gigantamaxing in the new game I can see the potential for BIG Pokémon but I felt the film could have done with a little more focus. But maybe I just wanted more mewtwo 83.

I will ALWAYS want to see more Mewtwo, as I am totally biased. If they have a Mewtwo that grows... I might actually scream like a little girl in excitement. And I'm a large Mewtwo myself.
