I liked the fact that in one episode where the characters were discussing what they would do when the war was over and they returned home, Klink admits he'd be retired on half-pay, but he learns Schultz owns the Dinkel Toy Company, which is the largest toy concern in Germany.

He was my favorite character in the show. He was just a kind and gentle toy maker in civilian life who got drafted by the Nazi Party and who couldn't WAIT for the war to end!

I know...
Schultz: "Col. Hogan if you ever escape;;;"
Hogan: "Yeah?"
Schultz: "Be a good fellow and take me with you."
One of the most lovables characters in that TV show.
