One day I will forget almost everything about The Ritual. Except this.
More 3DS art! I keep forgetting how low resolution Colors 3D is. Rendering her muscles was the hardest part. I started on the plane ride back home so I didn't have any references until we landed. Unfortunately this creature doesn't really have a body shape like any I've ever seen so I had to wing it a bit. Keep in mind that this picture is based on how she looked in the movie itself, NOT on the maquette.

EDIT: Okay if you asked me to guess which of my pictures would be the first one to make it to the front page, I never would have guessed this. I thought this would get like twelve faves max because it’s so different than what I normally draw but I am so shocked and delighted by how popular this became. It really does help to try something new. So thank you everyone!

Well, the first thing is that the file size is pretty small. On one hand, it allows you to not worry about having to render for a massive amount of time; but on the other, you can't zoom in to admire/observe any given detail.
On that note, after writing that sentence, I just realized that a pair of hands/feet were holding the "antlers".
The color scheme is relatively well executed, but I think you could have saturated the moose creature in that red a little bit more. It's almost right between being a complementary color and a conforming color (for some reason, I can't think of a better way to say it).
The whole composition and creature design is pretty good; the overcast and shadowy cliff side with a skeletal and strange creature. Depending on your reasoning, the creature design might be underdeveloped. It almost looks like some parasitic humanoid teabagged a random moose. If you're wanting to make the design slightly more cohesive, maybe you could put more hands on it; like instead of regular hooves and legs, creep 'em up a bit with some hands. I'm also not sure if those are antlers or not. The details around the eye portion are a little confusing as well.
The cliff side should be worked on to both maintain proper shape and continuity, and to give more detail and context to the overall scene.
I would say the largest problem is the lack/confusing contrast. Mainly on the cliff edge, most of the "black" spaces are drowned out or aren't consistent.
Even in an incredibly foggy scene, things close to the "lens" of the "camera's" point of view have a higher contrast; even if its just a little bit.
Overall, it's a pretty good piece. But as with everyone, we can always improve.

I hadn't seen The Ritual, and after seeing shots of the creature, it seems more leathery than what you depicted.

I was just looking up a good picture of the creature from that movie the other day! Hella creepy creature. I don't watch scary movies but Foundflix Ending Explained on YouTube did a really good job going through the movie and making sense of it all.

Goddamn my friend just sent me this pic and I had no idea it was from the ritual. I almost wanna see it now. this thing really reminds me of those terrifying skinwalker stories I listened to on YouTube. It's a thing of literal nightmares but I love it so much lol.
