Description
More than any other companion he's ever had, Donna kept the Doctor in line. She was definitely not afraid of him, ever and usually voiced her opinions quite vociferously. She did him a lot of good.Related content

She may contributed him to be more of a "good man" in the Tennant era (Eccleston was good too, IMHO, though). I'm a bit scared of the Doctor lately. Feels too flippant and destructive at the same time.

Yeah, he's always been a good man. Though Eccleston's Dr had just come from the Time War. Very dark and brooding. Combat boots, etc. Rose really turned him back to his playful self in Tennant. Then Donna kept him from becoming bitter after Rose... always getting him to do the right thing.
Matt Smith has a lot of the 2nd and 3rd Doctors in him, with a bit of 5 and 6 for seasoning.
