I really like this picture. It exemplifies my ideals for wizards being 'wisdom is power', as opposed to 'knowledge is power.' On top of that, the inhuman eyes show that the preternatural nature of his life's work has made him into something not quite human. And, I know I just said that I prefer the concept of 'wisdom is power' instead of knowledge, but a wizard just wouldn't be a wizard without his book of spells, and even that has been perfectly understated. What you have drawn here, to me, is a wizard that probably doesn't need to use magic at all to get things done. I like it. A lot.
