It's just great.
On unsteretched canvas? Very good detail still. A special fabric or base medium or just a very fine technique.

Well it wasn't stretched over stretcher bars, just tacked up flat on my apartment's wall, then gessoed a few times which unfortunately soaked through the canvas into the drywall behind.. so when I peeled it off a lot of the drywall came off with it...haha. Live and learn...
Thanks Jlof!

Adam...you're on a level well beyond any of us mere mortals. if i hadn't seen your other paintings in person, i would never believe that you did this on canvas. it's obsolutely beautiful and the care you put into it shows.

siriusly intense image you've created. the 300 hours shows. you've destroyed the term "over-worked" with this piece. how you pull off layering this and it still being totally coherent is beyond me but you did it and i'm glad you did

I have to agree with Mathis that finding ones very own style is essential and this is a step forward.
Influences are not a bad thing at all in this process, they are unavoidable. Not only because some 'sychedelic textures' are indeed genuine artifacts of entheogenic landscape, but also because vision of ones own soul is a collection of all things experienced. The self is a void. The way to create something new is to study the world, what others have done, work relentlestly and take it a step further.
Well done.
