Hey, my brain works similarly! But I hope you're able to get through everything you need to!

I look forward to seeing more Ultron from you too. The movie was
awesome. I think Ultron was a better villain than, say, Loki, but he
really didn't have a lot of development. Then again, he was only on the internet a few
seconds and realized humanity needed to be dealt with, and considering some of the
stuff on the internet…it makes sense. lol. But it was also cool seeing Scarlet Witch
and Quicksilver on screen, and some of the Avengers, like Hawkeye, got some
good development too!

xD Nice gif! lol.

Yeah, love that gif.

I'm doin pretty good on my too doo list. I hate lists, I usually just keep it in my head. But some stuff warrants writing down.

Yes, it was so nice to be able to see all the characters developed at least a little bit.

I think if Joss had more time to think it over, he would've made a more satisfying movie, both for him, and for his fans. Not that it wasn't great! It was!

I think to develop Hawkeye, instead of taking all that time at the ranch, which was a scene I would't want to take out, but perhaps we could've got a s... oh yeah, he was already out the entire first movie... hm. SO! I think they haha, could've shortened up the ranch scene and back and forth with Ultron getting angry, expressing why he is angry, or something that let's us know WHY he feels the way he does. Why angry, why "You take away my world, I'll ruin yours." That's what my comic will be about. And more. It'll be fun, if I get around to doing that.

Yes, I loved the way they did Scarlet, fantastic! Her motions were absolutely beautiful. I loved Quicksilver, I was sad he died. But in a way glad, cus I don't like the new Avengers group, with that flying wing guy and Ironman's replacement. Don't like it. Not in the comics, not in the movies. I'm sure I'll still like the way they do it, but I just don't like the cast as much, cus they're not as smart or mature as the Age of Ultron group. Maybe that's just me. (I'm sure it's not though hua hua hua.)

Yes, Ultron better than Loki imo. Loki was beaten to easily by the Hulk. So was Ultron. I hated that. Just flicked away by the Hulk? Come on. I'm he's (Joss) is looking at that now going, "Daaah, could've done that better." That's what he said in an interview, that some parts could've been done better. But he's still a genius at crafting so many people harmoniously together. Way to go Joss.

Agreed. It wasn't quite perfect, but it was a lot of fun! I think I enjoyed it a tiny bit more than the first Avengers movie too!

True. I guess the ranch scene was just a breather scene between all the action, but it could've been shortened. I liked seeing Hawkeye have a family though. Made him feel more human on a team of gods and super soldiers. It's funny that Ultron turned evil seconds after interacting with the internet. With all the horrible stuff online today, it made sense to me. xD But you're right. We needed a bit more of why Ultron was doing what he was doing and why Tony felt Ultron was necessary. As soon as they found Loki's staff, Tony was like, "Finally, we got what we need for Ultron!" And he was saying it as if we, the audience knew what he was talking about. It almost felt as if we were missing a scene or two.

The replacements don't bother me too much. I think they're doing it for diversities sake, since now they have two women, and two people of color, on the team. I'm sure we'll see Tony and the others again down the road eventually though. No worries here!

xD That's what Hulk does though! You got an enemy you want smacked? Send in Bruce. He'll handle it. lol. My hat's off to Joss too. Dude made two great films! I don't think he'll be directing the third Avengers movie, but I'll always enjoy the first two he made. I'll definitely be getting the DVD when it comes out!

Yeah, I enjoyed it WAY more than the first one, cus of Ultron. Ultron Ultron Ultron. That was it for me.

Yeah, the ranch seem I suppose was fine... But that's what happens when things go to fast. You end up cutting the wrong stuff out or leaving stuff in where you should've taken it out. If Joss had more time, we'd have a better movie. I'm sure of it.

And you're right, it does feel like there was a scene or two missing. Good point. Hope that's on the director's cut.

And I do not have a problem with the Hulk smashing things, because I like the Hulkd character but I have a problem when he beats people too easily, especially someone as powerful as Ultron. That movie did not show Ultron's lazer eye beams, and it didn't have a chance to show a lot of things, but it made Ultron look like a pushover, and that was HUGELY disappointing. It's the movies biggest problem. He didn't use his powers nearly at all. He used a ship and shot bullets. Ultron is not a pushover, even if that pushing instrument is the hulk. I was actually mad at that, that the Hulk just flicked him away, and that Ultron's minions were such nameless pushovers, despite that awe-strikingly beautiful action scene in the church near the end.

But Ultron being flicked away like a 2nd rate throwaway villain? Oh no, that is not reality. That is not the impression you get reading the comics, and even if you did... all wrong. It disappointed a lot of people actually, that part. But I'm not worried too much about that. It's that when you do not have a strong ending or a villain that challenges ALL the Avengers, then it's not satisfying. It's just another easy win. That is not good enough. It's good, but not enough. Not enough to make it a GREAT movie. That's one reason why this movie is not the top of the summer, according to a lot of people.

Mad Max? Totally satisfying villain death. He didn't get "flicked" off and then, "Oh, that's the end of him. Could've done that the whole movie but we just did it now for convenience."

I would like to buy the DVD too. He gave me more than enough fuel to make a new comic out of it. Thank you Joss!

Sorry for the delay. I'm currently on a Campus with no Wifi. For some reason. xD

You're right, if there was more time, the movie would've felt fuller and much more satisfying. I also agree with your assessment of the Hulk and his character. I guess Ultron was de-powered a bit, largely due to this being an Ultron made by Tony and not by Hank Pym, so Ultron was more sassy and scheming than maniacal and dominating. I guess you have to have a bunch of minions attack the Avengers so you can get super cool shots like the church scene, but I agree that it makes Ultron look that much weaker, and we only get a string of long, drawn out action scenes rather than a bigger scene with more weight to the characters and the situations.

I will say that the movie had a LOT to do:
1.Re-introduce the Avengers.
2.Introduce Ultron
3.Introduce Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
4.Set up plot threads to be followed in later moves like Thor 3 and Cap 3
5.Make a satisfying action film with almost a dozen superheroes.

This is easy in a 12 issue series of comics…difficult in about a 2-hour or so film. But Joss did his damnedest and it shows. It's far from perfect, but it's incredibly fun. I think it comes out around October on DVD!
