This is similar to the E-Wing, but better armed and probably better maneuvering (due to theΒ slim design). Nice!

hey Adam, I have an idea. I love the broader body on the 45, but I also love the gunner's cockpit and wings on the 85; why not combine the two designs into one, and add an droid bay like the ones on x-wings? I think if you did this, this could be Luke's personal craft, like his own shuttle of sorts for like intra-planetary missions or for brief jaunts to get away and destress

If Star Wars was rebooted, this is what the X-Wing would look like.

Great Job, have the smell of the old trilogy. I hope for a similar design in the new trilogy.

Thanks. I also hope that we will see ships more similar to the things we saw in the original trilogy. If it was possible, I would give my designs to Lucas (or Disney, whoever makes the decisions now)

Try never hurts!

I really like your designs. They seem far more practical for actual vehicles and less "only in the movies." Great job!!

Thanks I always go with designs that are unique, but I don't like doing things just for the looks. I will try to do more of these !

Thanks I'm glad to hear that, but at the same time I hope you're more inspired by the likes of McQuarrie - he's the sci-fi genius

He is good, but I prefer your ships, more Old Republic style and that is my favorite era.

Beautiful! Sort of reminds me of a cross between the TIE defender and the X-wing, with the four laser cannons and the double ion cannons. I have played as a TIE defender in the old LucasArts space simulator game TIE Fighter, the follow-up to the X-wing game. Those TIEs were powerful, but for the Empire, they never saw much action because they were too expensive. Still, that would probably explain why there were none at Endor.

The paint work reminds of a Colonial Viper

Must be the shape of the ship doing that - the X-Wing and Viper were designed by the same person so by changing certain elements it's easy to go to another design.

Probably, also the design fashion for most sci fi stuff was very similar in the late 70's. Just look at Battle Beyond the Stars, Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica, all used the 'leftover sprue and tank kit' method when it came to detailing spacecraft along with many other movies and shows.

Thanks As for the designs, most were following the most popular rifts in design. McQuarrie was one of the best designers out there during the Star Wars times and everyone just wanted to ride a bit on the amazing concepts he made, so a lot of movies copied the feel and the looks of models (or even whole movies).

Haha no you are not , well it would not be a problem once a while to get worse , you know . It would reset the self motivation . But no ship is classic ,pretty nicely presented too .

Well this one is much more basic and just looks bulkier. I don't have plans on setting it in exact time frame, but it should be older

So which one was mad first the Incom T-45 or the X-Wing?
π: 0 β©: 1
AdamKop In reply to tonystardreamer [2012-11-28 17:24:49 +0000 UTC]
I think if I had to put it somewhere on the timeline, this one would be first, but not by much. It would be smaller, slower and less powerful compared to the X-Wing.
