Description A friend of mine and I were talking about good sci-fi movies. 'Blade Runner' and 'The Fifth Element' being two of our favorates. In general, the physical sets of these movies are generaly not out of place in our own time period. It seems silly that one day we are all going to decide vacu-formed geometric shapes are a lot more comfortable as a living environment than the architecture we've developed out of natural materials over the last few thousand years...

Anyway. These movies 'sci fi' nature are mostly defined by the characters clothing design, hair, vehicle design, and any scene that shows a larger cityscape. I came back from lunch and sketched this hallway. It could be modern day, could be fantasy, could be sci fi. I just was going for a general 'Deco' feel for it. and have it look a bit run down.

Happy new year tango! it has been forever sense we hung out.

This one took me about 5 hours. It probably would have taken twice that if it was color.
