This is beautiful work. Your texturing, especially the bump mapping, is very well done, and you modeling has only improved from here. Good luck with all your classes.

Before producing this i'd done GCSE and A-level Art & Design, focusing mainly on drawing. I started to dabble with 3D in my spare time while doing my A-levels, so this was an on-going project as I learnt the software.
The body suit uses a simple bump map which I drew in Corel Draw as a vector drawing, and a colour/diffuse map created in photoshop. It's been a while but I think the polycount is around 30,000, but it can be varied as it is modelled in sub-ds. I'll think about sticking some wireframes in scraps.
Currently I'm between years of a degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation down in Bournemouth. At the moment i'm doing a lot of research and studying so I probably won't be posting too many new completed pieces of work in the near future, i'm too busy , but I may include some WIP pieces for crit, and some old traditional work. I'm currently working on a low polygon game character.
I'm trying to brush up on my 2D skills and maybe get a graphics tablet to start drawing directly into Photoshop. Some of the work on this website is very inspirational.
Cheers for the responses guys, I feel welcome already!

Hi, sorry to threadjack, but I want to do an art degree in Bournmouth the year after next. Is it good? Oh, and is it bournemouth arts centre or the main one?
I love the pic btw- very impressive

Your first attempt at a 3D character? Amazing! Surely you must've done some kind of sculpting or drawing before. Anyway, the model looks great both anatomically and stylistically. The textures are great too, they almost make the body suit look normal mapped! How many polys is she? I'd love to see some wireframes if you feel like it. Again, amazing work and welcome to DA. I really look forward to seeing what you submit next!
