This is an original character from the core cast of the comic I and my wife are developing - 'The Uniques.'

Here’s an unfortunate story - before Comfort and I were married (before we were even dating, I think; you’ll have to ask her), she had this character, Michael. She didn’t know what she wanted him to look like, besides the wings and pistols and stuff. She meets me, and she says to herself “Self,” she says, “Self, THAT is what I’ve been looking for for Michael!”

So now, six years later, I am in the unenviable position of having to draw a character that’s based, visually anyway, on me. With longer hair. Ugh. It just makes me feel so…egotistical. So when I went through to put my touch on the designs, I brought in some Rocketeer influence, some wild-west gunslinger, and even a little Han Solo just to make him fun enough to draw that I didn’t mind the face so much.
