Brad looked back the woman, his lips tight. “Look, honey,” he replied reaching for his break-glass-in-an-emergency rescue tool, “my father is the US Ambassador here, so how about we just put this little business behind us? I will leave the Class As for you to play with, while I wander off now to meet my smart-ass buddy. OK?”
The young Asian woman beamed at Brad warmly. “Your dad is the American ambassador, sir?” she grinned sarcastically. “How wonderful for you! When you get your single phone call you may want to call him.”
