I redid my Xigbar wig for Yaoi-con since I don't have the time to grow it out and dye it for my false ponytail. Not to mention the false hairline that I've been using for years has been all stretched out. Sooooo. Yes! Hope to get more pictures of it up once I debut it at con. ^^Lace-front black wig, grey extensions attached with fabric glue and cut to match the hairline. Held down with Lace Front Adhesive by Lloneau Products. This was just a test run, will do better for actual application, lol.

Nice. I like it. Very excellent wig work. You don't see a lot of people pull off a good xigbar wig. But you have. Nicely done.

hey, what did you use to dye the strands?? because i tried the halloween spray and it failed miserably

I actually added grey wig fiber on top of the black with glue, because dying/spraying wig hair really doesn't work. I simply trimmed the edges of the grey hair to match the rest of the hair line.

Your wig looks great! I'm doing xigbar next year and am trying to research different methods of doing this hair XD

Indeed I did~ I used a lace-front adhesive which I bought at a wig shop. But if you get it, make sure to get the remover as well. I forgot to the first time I put it on and had to veeeery painfully pull the wig off my forehead. XD

Oh man XD Would spirit gum work? I'm thinking about getting that stuff to use on other cosplays aswell~

Spirit gum tends to get crusty and doesn't hold things like wigs (because they're heavy and there's a lot of tension) for long periods of time. I only use it for beard application anymore, which is what it's used for in the movie industry and not much else. For other things that need to get stuck on, like elf ears or other makeup things I use stuff called pros-aid. It's amazing.

It was a simple black lace-front wig that I bought from a local wig store, then modified it with the grey strands myself.

OMG! ok my bf is a Xiggy (I'm demyx^^) and his wig was completely ruined
is there anyway you can do a tutorial on how you did this? Because honestly I think if he were to see this he would flip his junk.

I've been playing around with doing a tutorial, but since I didn't take in-progress pics I would have to draw it out and my tablet is on the fritz. I may do one when said-tablet is fixed.

This was ather usefull to see, i've bought a lace-front wig myself and was looking for a way to attack the grey hairs, thank you, glue seems more handy then sewing!

8D I'm glad you think so~ The hint was that I only glued about a 3/4" next to the hair line, then I used got2be to hold the rest flat, so that I can restyle it if needed. Glue is too difficult to try and restyle.

Your wig is the most real looking Xigbar wig I've ever seen. It even looks perfect length.
You really did a spectacular job on this. C: The pulled back hair is so tame, theres no frizz owo!

I straightened all the hairs with near-boiling water to keep the frizz down before styling it. It's all really nice Kanekalon fiber.
